Advantages: Brilliant finisher, ex fan favorite.

Disadvantages: He is now a baddie

Stone Cold Steve Austin, until now was the joint or second most popular man in the WWF. But now, just last Sunday at Wrestlemania, he changed his style. He has now become a friend of Vince McMahon, the chairman of the WWF, who he had a rivalry with for years. (No-one likes Vince McMahon) On Raw on Monday, he also teamed up with Triple H, another man WWF fans hate.

Before The Rock became popular-before he Rock entered the WWF, Stone Cold was the favorite of almost every WWF fan. Then The Rock entered the WWF. Now The Rock, surprisingly, was meant to be a baddie. He was meant to be what Vince McMahon is today. He was meant to be hated. But when he was on the microphone, he told the crowds to shut their mouths and “know their roles.” This was meant to make the crowd angry and make them hate him, but they loved it! So The Rock became as popular as Stone Cold, and now even more popular.

Now last year, Stone Cold Steve Austin took a break from the WWF. Actually, in the WWF, he was run over by Rikishi and Triple H, but of course, this was planned and staged out. During the time he was away, The Rock rose to fame. He went to the highest point he could in the world of fame and popularity. When Stone Cold Steve Austin came back, people cheered for him, and loved him, but not as much as The Rock. Now the WWF knew that they could not have two baby faces. (The WWF term for a person the fans love) Fans could not make their choices.

On every Raw, Smackdown or Pay-per-view, (The main WWF TV shows) there was a main event, and there couldn’t be Austin and The Rock in both of them. So the WWF had to do something. They didn’t know The Rock would rise to fame so much. So, during Wrestlemania X7, Stone Cold would have been beaten fair and square about 5 times, but Vince McMahon came out and helped him by pulling out the referee, or hitting The Rock. The Rock put up a brilliant fight and kicked out of many moves, but he lost his WWF ch
ampionship title to Austin, with the help of Vince McMahon and a steel chair.

So now Stone Cold Steve Austin, who is also known as The Rattlesnake, Austin or Stone Cold is now a baddie. In the future, we will see another side of him. A side no-one has seen before. Personally, I didn’t like him from the beginning but he will still have some fans…so he hopes!

Stone Cold’s real name is “Steve Williams. He is 6 foot and 2 inches tall and weighs 252 pounds. He has won the WWF Championship 4 times, the Intercontinental Championship 2 times, the Tag Team Championship 3 times, has been the 1996 King Of The Ring and the 1998 and 2001 Royal Rumble winner. He was born in Victoria, Texas.

Stone Cold’s finishing move is The Stone Cold Stunner. He kicks them in the stomach so they kneel down, then turns round the other was, holds their neck and jumps down, holding their neck, so he lands on his backside, with his legs out. His catch phrase in the WWF is “And that’s the bottom line, cos Stone Cold said so!” He is also known for celebrating by drinking lots of beers!

Overall, he is a brilliant wrestler, but I cannot give him a high rating because I don't like him since Wrestlemania X7...actually, I never did!

I think Austin's heel turn was the best move for his career because if he was pushed as a face any more, he would end up almost like a Hulk Hogan type figure who could do no wrong. Teaming him with Triple H was a great move although I suspect HHH will make a face turn in the near future judging by the way the fans reacted when he toyed with the idea on Raw a while back.

And that's the bottom line.....! ;-)
