Advantages: he is a good wrestler

Disadvantages: he holds a grudge.

Ok, Austin is a good wrestler there is no doubt about that, hes not as good as he used to be, but that doesn't deter from the fact that he is a very good wrestler and a quality headliner.

However, backstage Austin holds a lot of power.... for example In 1999 Austin was supposed to lose the belt to HHH, but Austin didn't want to drop the title to HHH, instead Austin called for Mankind to be in the main event aswell, so it was made a triple threat match for the belt in which austin would only lay down for mankind...his real life friend...so mankind won the belt instead...leaving HHH to win the belt against mankind the next night on Raw....all this because Austin is difficult.

Another example of Austin's "adolf-esque" (ok, so thats a bit harsh, but it is quite apt...he does have a skinhead...) is...
In 1997 Jeff Jarrett came back to the WWF after an unsuccessful stint in WCW. Jarrett did a shoot interview (basically a real interview) and mentioned how WCW missed an opportunity with him and then went on to talk about the WWF, he mentioned how Austin was coming out on Raw every week with a shaved head and an Austin 3:16 t-shirt and called him "blasphemous", which to be honest is a bit weird....but still it didn't deserve the treatment that Austin gave him....Austin held a grudge against him ever since and there was heat between jarrett and austin for the next couple of years (and probably still is)

For the next year in the WWF Jarrett didn't actually do a lot, (coeincidentally???) he was stuck in rubbishy matches, until a year later at summerslam '98 Jarrett lost a hair vs hair match vs X-pac which meant that jarrett had a new image and also he was being pushed after this too. He had a new gimmick of hitting women over the head with guitars, which made him the number one heel in the company, so he was actually getting somewhere, this shows as he had debra as his manager.

In 1999 there we
re plans for a Jeff Jarrett vs Stone cold steve austin feud, on several occasions austin "stunned" Jeff jarrett for no aparant reason, making austin look good, with no retaliation from jarrett...however the match mysteriousley (/coincidentally??) never went ahead. However jarrett's contract was due to expire when he was the number one heel, Jim ross (who just so happens to be best mates with austin) offered jarrett a pathetic salary in the next contract and jarrett went to WCW along with vince russo who was largely responsible for making jeff jarrett the number one heel.

Because jarrett had gone HHH became the number 1 heel....which could have been planned, and to be honest probably was planned...especially by HHH.

However that is not the nastiest thing that Austin has done, the fact that he didn't attend Owen Hart's funeral, all because he held a petty grudge against him simply because Owen accidentally screwed up in a match and hurt Steve austin's neck, using a botched piledriver, now this would be quite upsetting for austin, but to not attend the funeral is downright nasty.

Basically Austin is a good wrestler, but this doesn't give him the right to tread on other people's careers all to further his career and petty mindedness.
