At the moment, I think the Wwf is going through a boring patch. Bringing back old superstars and angles hasn’t really made a blip in the ratings. The Wwf at this point has bags of Talent, and most of it isn’t on TV. Will the roster split which is rumoured to be after Wrestlemania help? I think it will, Raw could be a show for main eventers and mid card superstars such as Rvd, edge, hhh ect ect. Smackdown (which is rumoured to change to shakedown) could be for light heavyweights and developmental talent, to get them some exposure on TV. What is a normal raw like at the moment? Here is my example.
Raw starts, there is a promo in the ring and the main event is decided.
1st match either tag team or hardcore match.
Backstage either the McMahon’s or a main eventer talks for a bit
2nd match Usually means nothing
Commercial Break
3rd match singles match-Usually boring
Backstage skit
4th Match-a little more interesting
Commercial Break
5th Match- A lot better than the other matches previously
Main event- Match nearly ends, and there’s a run in either by angle, Jericho, Austin or N.W.O.
Boring isn’t it. At the moment, that is our normal raw. Very Yawn worthy!
Even some of the feuds on Wwf go nowhere, don’t make sense and some feuds are just plain stupid. Vince is literally killing the Wwf. Can we even call it Wwf anymore? Wwf needs to take the McMahon’s off TV, and promote some real talent, like edge and Christian. The undisputed championship is even getting boring. Jericho is boring me in every single way, his promos are dull, and is ring work has become very predictable. He needs to lose those championships at Wrestlemania, and let HHH have a run with them.
Will Wrestlemania be any good? I think it won’t be too bad, but I don’t think it will be as good as Wrestlemania 17. Wrestlemania 17 was exciting and fast paced
, and with the gimmick battle royal it just iced the cake of Wrestlemania. This years Wrestlemania will be memorable because of the Rock vs. Hogan match. I don’t think the stone cold vs. Scott hall will be even on the card by Wrestlemania with Hall’s current attitude. Maybe it could lead to a Stone cold Vs. Kurt Angle, which could be a very good match. With Nash not doing anything on the card, will it be a returning superstar to face him, like Hbk? I’m not sure if it can even be done, but it could.
Ric Flair vs. Undertaker could be a good match, but I’m not counting on it. Ric shouldn’t be wrestling anymore, and undertaker should retire.
Chuck and Billy vs. APA vs. Hardys vs. Dudleys is a unexpected match, as the Hardys and Dudleys were only added a few days ago. Did the Wwf have doubts about chuck and Billy vs. APA? I think they did, and decided to throw the Hardys into the match.
William regal vs. Rvd I don’t think will be a very good match because the contrast of styles. I would have liked to see Edge vs. Rvd for the title that could have been a fantastic match in the making.
A women’s match is rumoured, but does the Wwf need a women’s match at Wrestlemania? I don’t think so; the belt can’t get credit on raw, let alone the Wwf’s biggest ppv of the year. How will Wrestlemania 18 be etched in the annuls of time? Will it say Wrestlemania 18-Flop or Wrestlemania 18- success?
I just hope in the coming weeks the Wwf’s overall product improves, and the Wwf split happens after Wrestlemania. Who knows? We can just hope.

- 10/03/02 Now this ain't a scoff at you because I loved the WWF. I'm 25 and don't care about what people think. It's a show, that's all. At least these guys are athletes as well as actors. I'd love to see Austin kick Phil Mitchells ass!!
The problem with the WWF is it's gone too far down the soap opera line. The storylines are going too far and detracting from the in ring action. Some matches don't even have a pay off. No victor is even announced sometimes. The victory doesn't matter only the storyline. Would HHH have lost all these matches running up to a Wrestlemania years ago? Hell no he wouldn't! What is wrong with the creative team in the WWF now.
They need to ditch old timers ('Taker, Nash, Hall, Hogan, Bossman) and give the new blood TV time. Fight over meaningful things like belts and honour. Not idiotic things like "divorce". Flair owns half the company, who's buying that Vince. Not many.
I think it is a bad idea to split the roster how you suggest. Midcarders and jobbers should have Heat and all the minor shows. Raw and Smackdown should be for higher midcarders and main eventers. Maybe have special tournies to see which jobber had the chance of appearing on Raw/Smackdown. Hell, me and you should write the stroylines. It'd be better than some of the corny threads the WWF are giving us.
