Hi Sunderland A.F.C. is my team they are dearest in my heart. I came to support them as my father is a born and bred mackem. nicknamed th black cats, they are a hugely passionatly supported side. playing at the prestigeous sunderland stadium of light, with a capacity of nearly 49000 it is one of the most atmpspheric grounds in europe. with the club slipping down into the championship a couple of years ago, and nearly to league 1 chairman niall quinn stepped in with his consortium and pumped his cash into the club, bringing roy keane in to look after the managerial side of the club, although i class us as a massive club our last real honour was in 1973 when we beat leeds utd in the F.A cup final. now in a new era under manager ricky sbragia sunderland supporters can hope and look to a bright hopefully succesfull future and maybe some silverware.
