Super casinos wreck lives.

Very few people win from casinos. Gambling addiction is a very big issue against casinos. When these casinos open, gamblers and people wishing to get rich will find it very tempting to gamble their money away and many will. This is why I don't like the idea of a supercasino in this country. These super casinos will cause social destruction of already
deprived communities in Blackpool and other places.

I will explain to you what super casinos are:

The law states that 1250 maximum high roller category A machines where stakes are unlimited and winnings are massive but not everyone wins and lure to win big money is very destructive. On top of this unlimited roulette tables.

Super casinos offer free bedding and food. Who pays for these all the gamblers. In a casino city local business dies off, crime rate goes up and poverty increases. This is total destruction of society as we know it in the casino hotspots.

To further support my case against casinos I am adding facts from a site that is against super casinos. Please be advised that I have written my opinion on this topic this information is here to support it.

Key facts: which will turn you against super casinos

Research has indicated that the number of problem
gamblers will increase by 38 per cent as a direct
result of Super Casinos being created

Industry estimations based on a minimal capital
cost of £150 million for each Super-Casino suggest
that with an estimated turnover of £90 million,
pre VAT, and profits of £22.5 million a Super-Casino
will suck around £100 million out of the local
economy.

The problems created by a Super-Casino would cost the host town or city as much as £60m to tackle

According to one report published earlier this year, the jobs created by new Super-Casinos will simply be displaced from elsewhere in the economy

Super-Casinos will not create new money – they will transport money from some of Britain’s poorest communities to profits for large American corporations

i too disagree with your arguement (well argued though), people who are "dumb" enough to think they can make a living by gambling deserve to loose all their money anyway! also, what about the jobs that super casinos will create for the local area? will this not help some of the communities?

p.s. non gambler x

With respect, I don't agree with your argument. People with a susceptability to become addicted to gambling will find ways to bet in any case, and meanwhile your restrictions would limit the options of those who can gamble responsibility, which they should be free to do with their own money. I write, incidentally, as a non-gambler.
