Newest Review: ... premiership season where all three promoted teams stay up. I have said before that too many average foreigners are being purchased by premiership teams for all manner of nefarious reasons, forcing top British talent down the leagues and so some of the championship sides coming up are nearly all British elevens full of top players and ready to reclaim the Premiership. Swansea were unlucky to ... more

Full name --- Swansea City Nickname --- The Swans Founded 1912 (as Swansea Town) Ground -- Liberty Stadium Chairman --- Huw Jenkins Manager --- Brendan Rodgers Capacity: 20,532 --------------------- The young Swansea City manager Brendan Rogers has come out with a statement of intent 'that the Swans are here to stay in the Premiership', bold indeed. The winners of the championship play-offs traditional go straight back down. But most teams that come up for the first time try to make the most of their short stay by playing attacking and exciting football, the likes of Blackpool, Hull, Wigan an example ...  Read the complete review

swansea city, probably one of the most supported teams in wales right now the jack army are the loudest and proudest set of fans you are likely to find anywhere. weather the swans are home or away, the jack army follows in its thousands no matter what the day or occasion rescently moved from the vetch field atmosphere to the liberty stadium and its like the jack army has grown. the team on the other hand, over the last couple of seasons there has been a drastic change with foreign players coming in and making the club what it is today. roberto martinez, current manager, has done a supurb job since coming back here to ...  Read the complete review

Swansea City are a bit of an insane team, and one of those teams that the fans are born into. Or forced into. I love Swansea but have been let down as most Swansea fans, and most football fans in general, have been if they follow any team other than Manchester United in the past few years. There are some amusing times though and i'd never change it. At the moment they are flying high in the Championship and could even sneak into the Premiership though i think that it could be a bit of a disaster and may be a bit 'too early' for promotion...maybe next year would be better. They now play at the Liberty Stadium (formerly White Rock Stadium ...  Read the complete review

Swansea City Football Club - Also known as "The Swans" - founded in 1912 as a professional team, and in possession of the Cyril the Swan, a very high profile and crazy mascot who thinks nothing of absailing down from the floodlights before games, and upsetting the away supporters. He has also been fined for his antics and banned from the touchline by the FAW. SCFC - My home town footie club. I have been supporting them since meeting my other half 8 years ago, when he romantically invited me to 'go to the football with him' -who says Welsh men are chauvinists? I was not a football fan, but a few visits got me hooked. Over the last 8 ...  Read the complete review

The Swans haven't looked to impressive of late, and having been at the Vetch to see them lose to lowly Oxford I have to say it is very dissapointing of a side that has the quality that Swansea posess. It was a warming feeling to hear most of the die hard Northbank clap Oxfords first goal, but it doesn't hide the fact the Swans have slipped a lot lately. With the class of Romo, Savarese, Boyd, Appleby, Roberts and Price along with several others it is hard to see why Swansea are suffering so much. But it remains a fact, Swansea aren't the force they have the potential to be.  Read the complete review
