Advantages: People forget about MP's expenses

Disadvantages: /

So swine flu breaks out in Mexico. Tyipcal England gets all caught up in the idea, and hypes it up in the news so much that people start to get paranoid about this illness from pigs? Trust the government to make a huge deal about this, anything to get all of the focus off the MP's expenses scam! They know what they are doing, and so they are taking every chance they can to scare more and more people into believing that this illness is the end of the world. As seen in the paper only a few days ago, sadly a 6 year old girl died if swine flu, however why is this such a shock to the country? People die of cancer every day and i dont see them in the newspaper. So everyone is getting so scared they are going to catch swine flu, which is basically a mild case of common flu, nothing to be too worried about, especially when there are tablets to help fight it. Well now it is being said that the whole country are going to be vaccinated against swine flu, but will this be enough to stop this huge craze that has hit our country?

Summary: People are being suckered into thinking that swine flu is what it isnt

I echo the sentiments of the comments below.

Whilst I acknowlegde that there are people who die of cancer on a daily basis, whose deaths are not publisised, cancer is not a condition that can be 'passed on' so to speak. It is very sad that people fall ill with cancer and some die.

Swine flu is, however, passed on through germs. The condition is spreading so fast it quickly reached pandemnic levels.

Sadly it seems you have done very little research into this review.

My son who is only 9 months old, and myself are currently in quarantine and taking Tamiflu for suspected swine flu. There is no definitive diagnosis as neither of us have been seen by a doctor - they will not even come close to our home and we are being asked not to leave the house. Whilst I am not overly concerned for our welfare, it is still very unpleasant, particularly for my son.

NO-ONE has immunately to this which is why the work on vaccine is so very important.

Swine Flu is not going anywhere just yet and neither will the media hype. While it is depressing to see the media reports day in, day out, this is still a very serious issue.

I fail to see how swine flu is a craze, maybe when a member of your family falls to it you will change your opinion.
