Ok I have decided to stop writing a wrestling OP this time and am writing something that a lot of people are embarrassed about - Sex! it is a very short one(no pun intended i assure you)

I hope I do not offend anyone with this OP there are no swear words in this nor is the any explicit content well on with the OP.

Now this is a topic that has been doing the rounds for a while here in England - the English are known for not talking about the S word it is not proper and all that but this great country of our's has seen an alarming rise in teenage Mum's and Dad's( which fortunately I am not one of ) and the count is rising and you have to think that if the kids today are taught about Sex in school then maybe just maybe this will stop happening.

My sister was 14 when she confided in me that she was pregnant she was scared and she thought she was alone but thankfully she has a very supportive family who did not throw her out on the street I had the job of telling my mother and the rest of the family and it was not easy but there was no shouting or hitting or anything they all hugged her and said she would be ok and now her son is nearly three years old and my sister is looking to go back to work as everyone in my family fights to baby sit him.

Now I am not stupid I know that this does not happen in every household I have been writing to a lady for about 6 years and she became pregnant at 15 and her dad threw her out on to the street and if it was not for me and her boyfriend she could of died living on the streets or something but we both got her a flat and now they are married and Kyle is now 2 and Amy is going back to collage.

The theory if there is one is that Mum's and Dad's are scared to talk to their kids about Sex I mean how many kids would sit and listen to their parents talking about Sex my guess is not a lot as it is deemed embarrassing and the same has to be said for parents they find it unc
omfortable - so they hope that their children will just know somehow which of course they don't.

When my mum decided to have the Sex talk with me it was very plain and clear "If you get a girl pregnant I will F'N kill you!" that is exactly what she said which is not very helpful but unlike other kids I did have Sex education at school and it was thanks to this that I am not a teenage Dad.

There are a lot of myth's that kids believe such as "if you have sex under the bed you won't get pregnant" or "if you have sex on a full moon it is ok" and my favoritee one "you can't get pregnant on your first time" erm pardon? now we all know(at least I hope you all know) that they are false the only way not to get pregnant is to use protection(and even then it is still not 100% safe) it does not matter which way you do it or when or where you can still get pregnant and it is because of these stupid myth's that there are teen mum's running around if they had Sex education it may help them realizee a bit more about sex the concquences.

A lot of woman do get themselves pregnant on purpose to get Benefit and free accommodation but that is a different OP and I may cover that at a later date.

When I decide to have kids and they get to the age when they will be needing to know about sex I will not be afraid to sit down and offer them knowledge on the subject as it may be embarrassing but it has to be done.

So if the children of today have Sex education will it stop the teenagers making mistakes? well no it won't there will still be some teenagers that will have sex because they enjoy breaking rules and rebelling against the "authority" that is mum and dad but if the schools do have Sex education then I am sure that most Boy's and Girl's will know about it and thus not make the mistakes that others have done - or will it?.

My daughter whos 10 knows all about sex, the ins, the outs, but I have been pushing to her that she should wait for aomeone special.
The reason people have sex is because its fun and it feels nice, we see this on TV and cinema all the time, does it feel any different because you are a teenager? Of course, what we need to be doing is concentrating on preventing teenage pregnancy and the spread of diseases! Holland has its consent rate at 14 but a lot better sex education from a young age, hence they have one of the lowest teenage pregnancy rates in Europe! We cant stop them having sex but lets make sure they are doing it safely!
