The best time of your life.Newest Review: ... there were to meet. Anyway I decided to enter Miss DMU 2005 which was my university beauty and personality contest. Seeing as there were cash prizes and I was a student I thought I might as well give it a go and entered myself in. On the day of the competition I had arranged to pick up a dress my friend had made for me, but I forgot it! So I had to think quickly, I had no other amazing outfits so I decided I would dress up in my super girl costume so I could be myself, a bit nutty! The best time of my life is a hard one to pick but I will tell you abou this one... When I was an University at De Montfort, I was down and finding it hard to make friends. I knew I was a nice person to be around but I had low self esteem and felt daunted by the amout of people there were to meet. There is, on another opinionating website, a topic category called "10 things that remind me of the 60s", for which this piece was originally written. Were the 60s the best time of my life? In 1975 I got married.....at the time, deep down I knew it was something I shouldn't be doing - but, I went along with it all, because to go through with it seemed easier and less painful for other people than to call it off, plus I had, amongst other rather dubious things, been taught by my mother that a woman wasn't really worthwhile unless a man had "claimed" her as his own, and she was married to him.
