The best time of my life is a hard one to pick but I will tell you abou this one...

When I was an University at De Montfort, I was down and finding it hard to make friends. I knew I was a nice person to be around but I had low self esteem and felt daunted by the amout of people there were to meet. Anyway I decided to enter Miss DMU 2005 which was my university beauty and personality contest. Seeing as there were cash prizes and I was a student I thought I might as well give it a go and entered myself in.

On the day of the competition I had arranged to pick up a dress my friend had made for me, but I forgot it! So I had to think quickly, I had no other amazing outfits so I decided I would dress up in my super girl costume so I could be myself, a bit nutty! It. was handmade so I felt quite proud of it

Any way it turns out that I won first place and revieved £150. £60 of which I threw into the audience. Thinking they would love it and I'm sure they did!

Ever since then I've made sure that I just be myself, a bit 'out there' and wacky, I didn't enjoy having low-self esteem but everything seems to have got better since then and its purely because I have a much more positive attitude to myself.

I love meeting people, now, any people and do not feel daunted by it. I love that everone is completely individual, it makes life much more exciting.

Summary: An amazing night!
