Im actually going to write this review based on a Body Shop party, rather than Body Shop as a whole, as my main experiance of the Body Shop has been through parties.
In the last 10 years or so, I have been to many Body Shop parties as we had a few close family friends who were Consultants, but as we regularly had the same circle of friends having the parties, we just kept them simple - there would be some goods on a table for us to have a sniff at, and we would just reorder our faves and look at some new stuff.
Last week, my mother in law had a party at her house, as a workmate of hers has just become a Consultant and wanted some practise, so my mother in law had a Pamper Party. We were all asked to take along a bowl and a towel - although the majority of us totally forgot, but the Consultant was great and had taken lots of spares.
To break the ice, we played a few party games which were great fun and relaxed everyone. She then started to discuss what the Body Shop was about, and then went on to fill us in on special offers etc.
With this out of the way, she then began to show us some products. After she had described them to us, she passed them around, and we could have a smell, or spray some perfumes, or even try out the various creams. After we had all had a good sniff of some of the wonderfully scented products, she then began to talk everyone through how to do hand massages and the right products to use. She offered two different smelling products so there was a choice.
After this, we played a few more games, and then she went on to give any willing participants a foot spa. She went into good detail about the products she was using and what they did, and let us all have a smell of the products too.
When this was done, she did a raffle, and handed out about 5 prizes. She also gave out prizes for all the games we had played earlier on too, and everyone went home with a little something, which was a great bonus. She then left everyone to it to fill out any orders, there was no pressure at all to order anything, she just left us to it. She did check through our order forms after, and made sure that any of us who were entitled to any freebies had them written down.
Some of us also then agreed to book parties for later on. She gave us a book to flick through with the various themes, and some of the themes included : the Pamper party, a make-up party, a couples party, even a pyjama party!
I loved the idea that there were so many themes as it makes each party different rather than having the same thing each time, which would just get a bit boring, but this way theres something different each time!
A Body Shop party is a great way to spend a couple of hours having some girly fun and trying out great products. Theres also bonuses for the person who has the party at their house, and with little prizes handed out, it makes a great, fun night out. I would highly recommend a party!!
