Advantages: NONE

Disadvantages: bad service, rude, abusive

I brought a car for my girlfriend at the broughton group in may 2005. They seemed polite and efficient and offered us a two year warranty.

Fortunately we've just decided to have the car serviced by an old family friend who informs us that the spark plugs are badly fitted and cannot be unscrewed and that the front suspension forks are damaged... So we rang the broughton group to ask if this was covered by our service, their response? And I quote....

"f*** off you've had the car over a year now it's your problem"

...they then hung up.

We will of course be taking this to trading standards but be warned!!

NEVER NEVER DEAL WITH THESE COWBOYS!!!!!!!

Summary: Disgraceful service, rude, obnoxious and darn right illegal servicing

I really cannot believe that a responsible company would take this stance with a customer without some kind of provocation. I hope that your friend was a qualified mechanic and would imagine that the replacement of things like sparkplugs would not be covered under any warranty, since these are parts which wear and tear will erode.
