The Criminal Justice SystemNewest Review: ... the jails tougher and criminals will not want to go back. I mean, why should a criminal get £2000 in slopping out compensation because they had to pee in a bucket in their cells? Apparently they are breaching their human rights! Human rights? Shouldn't you lose your human rights the day you get the jail? For murders, where is their victims human rights? Didn't they have human rights ... more |

The criminal justice system in Scotland is a joke! All the courts are interested in doing is handing out Community Service and fines. Apparently this is because the jails are full. Well in my opinion, they should make the jails tougher and criminals will not want to go back. I mean, why should a criminal get £2000 in slopping out compensation because they had to pee in a bucket in their cells? Apparently they are breaching their human rights! Human rights? Shouldn't you lose your human rights the day you get the jail? For murders, where is their victims human rights? Didn't they have human rights before being murdered? I know I sound really harsh, ... So the prisons are full and Gordon Browns is refusing to build more, paradoxically deciding to let convicts out early instead to produce yet more crime, and so increasing demand on those shrinking places. Why he thinks this is a good idea is beyond me. I say if bad people are in jail they can't commit crime or make people victims of crime. That should be the CPS policy. Let private construction companies spend their money on building prisons; not sticking up unsold houses on flood plains. There's a well known saying in the CPS that two thirds of criminal's re-offend and the other third just don't get caught. A lags a lag and the reasons why they commit crime ... The ranks within a force are: ... Read the complete review

The criminal system of justice in the united kingdom leaves a lot to be desired at times but at least we don't cut peoples hands off like they do in some countries and then find out that they got the wrong person! We use community service and fines and jail and sometimes curfews to deter people from committing crimes against others. I think that sometimes the sentence should be more like the crime committed for example if someone graffitis a wall they should be made to clean up 100 other walls that have been graffitti'd. Or if they burgle someones house the police should go to the burglars house and take all of his stuff and give it to someone who needs ... Read the complete review
