Advantages: Looks prettier (like me >_>)
Disadvantages: Doesn't like opera, Seems to be abused
Well my amnesia's kicked in once again, I seem to have forgotten the sites actually been re-designed...then I remembered using this site at my former uni and remember I prefered certain things back then. The site's changed for both the better and the worse, the good and the bad are what we have to put up with I guess, though it's not the design I have the biggest actual problem with (I'll get onto that much later).
I do like the new "My reviews" section, looks much tidier and easier to read, so thank you dooyoo for this, it was needed and is the best part of the site design I seemed to miss. Also the reviews when people are reading them looks better now (I was pretty shocked again, by just how tidy this did actually look now).
However my first complain with the redesign is what made me realise it had be re-designed, it doesn't like my *^&%ing browser, it doesn't seem to allow you to rate a product (where you give a product stars) with Opera (instead just showing the word "image")*, which is basically making the site obselete for my prefered browser (which is sadly being discriminated against by Betfair and ESPN as well). Yes I do realise I can open I.E. Copy my review and put it on like that, but, well, I'm lazy and really can't be bothered, so it seems the only time I'm able to put reviews on here is when I have some time with my mums laptop (lucky you guys). With I.e. and Firefox working, wouldn't it be that difficult to make Opera work guys?
The second and more nerving complaint, which I know has been taken advantage of it the new reward system, which has seen an increase in poor reviews no doubt, even some of the writers I genuinely like to read reviews by have fallen into the trap of putting out lesser work for the rewards. I know dooyoo works via advertising revenue and as such the more reviews the more ads on, the more we make, but it seems to have seen a proliferation of vague reviews. I've seen a few people agree when I've rated them lower and basically said "I expect better from you", they all seem to agree that they know it's poor quality, but now quantity is rewarded who gives a *&^% about quality? Yeah I'm a bit of a hypocrite putting out a few lesser quality reviews myself recently, though I do have the defense I did a 10k review which means if I was to go into that detail in everything I wrote I might need a new set of fingers >_> (thats my defence and I stand by it).
Perhaps make the crowns really worth getting rather than quantity getting more, and less per each view (again a lot of people will just click VU rather than reading the damn thing...so mine are getting smaller >_>). I'm not sure, all I know is I'm not a huge fan of it.
*This may have been rectified for newer versions of Opera, as I'm still on 9.2 Beta.
Summary: hmm...
