dooyoo like the changes? cos i don't like them that much (The dooyoo Redesign)

Well i have to say of all the changes i have seen dooyoo go through i think that this one is possibly the worst incarnation that i have seen it go through. Aurora was brought in to alter dooyoo behind the scenes, yet it has practically changed altogether, the entire site is now different, and i personally dislike it.

The previous system was simple to use, easy to find what you wanted, yet for some reason dooyoo have decided to go against the grain of the old adage that if it aint broke then don't fix it, and because of this they have created a monster out of what was something near to excellence!

I don't like the way searching is now far more difficult to do from your profile page, wheras the old programme had a search box, this one you have to go onto one of the tags at the top of the page and then search from there (this is where someone tells me otherwise).

Just before the major appearance changes became noticable, i was starting to worry over the way that the number of reads was only showing the number of reads from fellow members as opposed to reads from both joe public and the community, fair enough, not that many people from outside of dooyoo do read that many ops, but they do add up in the long run. However, one good thing with the changes is that these worries have now dissapeared as the number of read includes both categories once again, and hopefully once and for all!

I can't really complain with the new colour scheme, simply because being partially colourblind it doesn't make that much difference to me, mind you while i am here, i will have a moan anyway, the new colour scheme has too much grey in it, what was wrong with how things used to be?

In fairness i was only kidding with that last paragraph, the new colour scheme really doesn't bother me. However, most new additions to the site do make me feel a little put off. I like the sound of this whole virtual sign in idea, although i d
on't know how to use it yet, so anyone who can help me out a little, then please post it into a comment or in an e mail, the addy is in my profile, help with that will be much obliged lol.

I do like the idea that the path name now has hyperlinks in it, as opposed to just the path that you take to get where you are, this does make life a little easier when trying to find something.

Anyways, i am going to go and find some more bits and peices i have missed out of this op, that i am sure people will tell me lol, i apologise for this being more of a moan that informative, but i don't do these that often, i am better at the music reviews lol. Anyways, take care people, cheerio.
