The European Rapid Reaction Force

The European Rapid Reaction Force ... Europe for half a century. Would a European Rapid Reaction Force rival Nato or bolster it? Would it be the right decision for Britain to join, or would it damage British relations with America? Is this idea really feasible?

This has lead to wide spread condemnation of the American system and foreign policy, again, demonstrated in no better way than the ... more

Think about it?????..in the last 50 years we have seen life as we know it change. One of the main things to have happened - in terms of World order, demonstrable in no better way than the allies reliance on the them in the 2nd World War, is the emergence and total dominance of the USA as a World governing / policing body. The European Rapid Reaction Force (ERRF) is a question that I myself have been researching and interested in for a number of years. The questions have been posed a million times recently and everyone has an opinion on the American's, no more now, since 11.09.02 the question of "Do America stick their noses in where they are ...  Read the complete review

I'll be blunt.I believe that we need a ERRF, but probably not in the form that it will be given. While the american backed NATO might have the money and equipment to carry out such peacekeeping etc as required, any war where Washington has the last say will always end in disaster. If you don't believe me just look at such glorious victories as Vietnam, grenada etc. Anyone who's had anything to do with the american armed forces know that they're a bunch of wannabe John Wayne's playing at being soldier, and the first thing they do when they take losses is to cry over their buddies, then shoot all helpless civilians and POW's of the ...  Read the complete review

If Europe is to lead any Rapid Reaction Force you can bet it’s an American initiative. Our military is reliant on US logistics and satellite coverage are essential for any military force involved in joint action to keep politically unexceptable deaths low. This pretty much guarantees that there will be little political will to resolve conflicts around the world without American backing. The United Nations who hand out these embargoes to Iraq or security code recommendations to the little countries are on the pay roll of America and only mandate the United States enemies. This pretty much means that a RRF would be an American controlled army in ...  Read the complete review

On the day of significant monetary European union its still only British soldiers out there in Afghanistan all on their tod representing Europe. Our boys spend their days playing American football and trying not to step on land mines whilst the yanks bomb everyone from 3000 ft. Yet again they rained down bombs on an area long since devoid of Thalaban AL-Quieda forces but of annoying Northern Alliance supposed good guys that were surplus to requirments.100 or so were obliterated. Innocent villagers perished as Americas continuing oppression of Afghanistan goes on day after day from the B52s and rhetoric. Iraq is surely next for the US retribution with ...  Read the complete review

The British government, boosted by their leaders egomaniac performance over leveling the third poorest country in the world, have offered a further 12,000 troops and some armaments to bolster their contribution to TERRF. The European rapid reaction force is now the proud owner of 60,000 of our boys and half of our armory. These forces can be deployed at anytime the Americans, errr Europe need them to resolve any internal disputes. The French and Germans also have big numbers involved in the group, but are predominately confined to hangars and barracks. The alpine contingents have long since retreated to their dinner tables, whereas as the Italians have just ...  Read the complete review
