Advantages: Improved european relations, Better military strength
Disadvantages: None that I can see
...With a group of nations co-operationg? humm? Do we see a problem with the British Islea combining their miitary force with that of our european partners? NO, well at least we shouldn't And that is not the least of it. It isn't really the combination of military force, it is the capability to send military units on peacekeeping and humanitarian missions where the UN or NATO has declined or is unable to assist. IT IS NOT EVEN FIGHTING! I am simply flabbergahsted that people see problems with this, sure politicians lie and there may be some darker or other purpose to this projec, but come one, are we really all conspiricy theorists? It has been said that this project will work within the boundries and rules and with the cooperation of the UN and NATO and, even, even if one of the countries in which the ERRF operates decides not to send their countries troops on a specific mission, they don't go. Surely even the europhobic little englanders cant be against that. There is of course the question of risking our troops when our country is not in direct danger, well that is a different question all together, though I will say that the sociaist inside me says, we have a duty to ensure the safety of our fellow man an we should do all within our ower to hel, and no one joins the army ignorat of the fatc that they may one day be called upon to give their life, not just for thei country, but mankind in general. I must say, I am all in favour of the ERRF. God, we send our troops all over the world for the benifit of others anyway - why not do it with the back up and cooperation of our european neighbours?
