My mother is is my hero
she always knows what to do
when I get into trouble
and land myself in pooh.

When I need some guidance
what to do for the best
she says "you do what's best for you
sod all the rest"

She is always understanding
never judges me
we can talk about anything
over a cup of tea

There is never any problems
that I would not share
I know that if I am in trouble
she is always there

I am so very grateful
for all the love inside
she is always honest with me
and her feelings she never hides

I have been taught to be honest
and never tell a lie
these words I will take with me
until the day I die

I have been shown the difference
between what's right and wrong
and when I am faced with problems
I know I must stay strong

The respect I have for my mum
grows deeper every day
Everything she has been through
To bring me up this way

I know that there are others
who love and care for me
but no-one does it quite as well
as mummy does for me

It is also due to the unit
in which I have been born
It is the whole family
who's uses I have worn

My mum is in the centre
a person we all admire
our family, it would crumble
without her passion and fire

She is such a marvellous person
and very special to me
and the best part of her love
is that it is part of me

Now I am a mother
I understand the fear
how to bring up children
which direction do I steer?

I know how she must have worried
about the job she has done
but mum do not worry
to me you're number one.
