Newest Review: ... a sports fan not to listen to either talksport or radio 5 live. I stumbled across Gaunty in his LBC days and immediately took a liking to his 'common man' approach. When he made the move over to Talksport, my choice of radio selection from 10 - 1 became a lot easier. The premise of the show for those who have not heard him is that he invites callers to discuss current issues and basically what he wants, usually provoked by an article in The Daily Mail. It was fate that i stumbled upon the excellent review of The Jon Gaunt Show on Talk Sport by Thedevilinme which i highly recommend you read, whilst listening to the man himself... These two factors combined with the moon being in conjunction with Venus meant only one thing.... a review, not a six page essay this time, you'll be pleased to read but a review nonetheless. Ive been listening to 'Gaunty' as he calls himself for a good while. working from home alot i like to have the radio on. If you didn’t know, John Gaunt is British radios Rush Limbaugh, or at least he thinks he is, trying to ape America’s shock jock king of motor mouths by ranting his unchecked right wing diatribe on Talksport radio between the hours of 10:00 am and 12:00 pm weekdays. Gaunty divides opinion on his weekly show, and indeed on the man himself, and if you have nothing better to do its well worth a listen as he will certainly get your ire up. But it’s not about his politics that should matter but his right to have them on air that is the issue here, not whether he is a pratt or a bigot.
