Advantages: Good service on the whole

Disadvantages: Morons who abuse it

The spat involving Rose Addis in the halls of power is yet again another media story set rolling by a pathetic Ian Duncan Smith.Question time in parliament is to discuss the state of the countries health and not peoples private medical records.
Blair was totally out of order to ask the hospital for private information on her hospital visit and read it out in Westminster.

He wouldn’t tell us if his kids have had the controversial MMR jab claiming the Fifth Amendment so has he the right to use her info. Smith is trying to make his meager voice heard as everyone ridicules him as a non-entity.
What probably really happened is that the old bag didn’t want any dark skin hands near her purist Jewish skin and she was left their to fend for herself.

The constituents and relatives who complained to IDS probably thought they could make a few quid out of it in good Jewish tradition and the story blew up from their.I have no sympathy for the lady if she isn’t going to cooperate because of her racism and lots for the hospital who put up with a human zoo every week with little respect.

Being a copper their is no more a hellish place than an A%E on a Friday and Saturday night. Most of the people there are full of beer and attitude that attack the staff at will who are trying to patch them up.
Its no coincidence that people that do get glasses or punched on the whole probably deserve it.
How many times have you been attacked on a Saturday night for no reason.

Hospital and ambulance staff are the most assaulted group of employees out side of the police force. These people who work for the national health are there because they care about you and me over swanning around in private care patching up the middle classes after a golfing accident.
90% of the patients are totally happy with the service and appreciate the free service that they get. No where else in the world will they pick you up and look after you for
nothing.

In America private health care cost up to $6000 a year with the employer picking up two thirds depending on your salary and position. I think its pretty certain that Blair will try and privatize some of the service through slow creep tactics and the first thing that will happen is a massive wage drop.
Once the unions have been pacified then low grade staff like any other businesses will be the firs to fel the pinch of competitive pay bargaining.

By purchasing private hospitals through PPP they can leave the pay wards to private concern which will eventually force down pay in the sector. Salaries are the first big saving in any organizations followed by health and safety then middle management.
This will mean more mal practice and a ton of law suits American style with some National Health Service already spending a tenth of their budgets on lawsuits.

You may have noticed far more courtesy cars on the street now where drivers are suing other drivers for causing the accident. Any poor treatment or late reaction time can come back to the hospital that can be named in that suite.
This is also opened to abuse with the busiest car crime con being accident faking to in connivance or another innocent driver to get these big payoffs.
Public services will need to protect themselves as far as liability goes and new PPP contracts could provide that opt out.

We have seen with new league tables that show certain hospitals having high levels of deaths and poor care looking to cut those rates by only omitting “safe”patients. Why take a 70-year-old man for a heart op who has a five times more likely chance of clocking it that a teenager.
This will mean a two-tear system like we have in comprehensive education where the health underclass being treated separately and with the lowest resources they are deemed worthy.

I don’t put any blame on the government or national health for the mess we are
supposedly in and se it as the way it always be. The powers that be have hard choices to make with low and high care beds with the inevitable DNR (Do not resuscitate) being slapped on the end of the rickety steel framed bed.
It doesn’t matter how much money you pump into the health service its always going to cost more.

Those who are private generally are the ones that don’t get on a public bus and cant bare sharing with the great unwashed. If we can get more of the affluent into their own hospitals you would think it would free up cash for the needy.
But budgeting from the treasury demands so much per head in the service, which will mean more cuts. A hospital costs just under two pounds a day to feed a patient which means slop all round.
Drugs and care are also costed which also means the minimal treatment.

Private health care is more effective as they can target the money at the treatment. The wealthier classes tend to have less poverty desease and therefor easier to treat. When I say that I mean that they don’t keep coming back with the same complaints.
Also bed blockers take up a lot of space in the public sector which are old people looking for company and care. Middle class families are more likely to be healthier at that age and feel safe in their more affluent homes.
The secret to good hospitals is a healthier nation. Its well recognized that Britain is an unhealthy place compared to our fellow rich European countries.

I know it sounds trite but if you look after yourself more than theres less chance of gong to hospital. Stuffing fry and beer down your throat everyday is the real factor that is bending the health service.
When you see a four year child with cancer who cant get drugs because of post code rationing it breaks your hardened heart.

Good op that highlights some of the main problems. The deviation at the start made some interesting points about Mr. Blair's hypocirsy- there for all to see.
