Advantages: The Great One, Could wrestle and talk the talk.
Disadvantages: Not many at all
Third generation superstar Rocky Maivia made his WWF debut at the 1996 Survivor Series , as a plain bland good guy that never really caught on, despite having a chiselled look, he was still a rookie. Without any real in ring experience or charisma to speak of, the stint didn't work well. In fact he found himself on the receiving end of "Rocky Sucks" chants regularly.
He decided to embrace the hatred and joined the Nation of Domination, a group formed to fight racism within the WWF. From there his charisma grew, he began to feud with Stone Cold Steve Austin and he broke free from the Nation. Within a year the crowd were now loving him despite his bad guy antics.
He was witty, and he was improving in the ring, raising the Peoples Eyebrow and dropping the Peoples Elbow were becoming commonplace within the WWF. He won his first WWF Championship 2 years after his debut at Survivor Series 98 and from there his star just kept growing.
His feud with Mankind involved a brutal "I Quit" match at the Royal Rumble in 99 in which he hit Mankind 15 times with a steel chair. The feud with Foley made his a megastar and through his feuds with Billy Gunn, Triple H and the Undertaker he cemented himself as a WWF legend.
It all however would pale in comparison to what many believe the greatest feud ever, The Rock vs Stone Cold. This was where the Rock was at his best as they played off each other brilliantly and worked with a flawless chemistry together.
His biggest Wrestling moment probably came at Wresltemania where he went one on one with the Immortal Hulk Hogan. It was Past v Present and what a spectacle it was.
The Rock has now retired from wrestling and after gaining fame in the Scorpion King and Be Cool, he has dropped his Wrestling name and now goes y his real name. Dwayne Johnson. He's still tearing up the box office and has been the biggest Celebrity Wrestler since the Hulkster.
One of the most if not thee most entertaining superstar of all time - Wrestling fans still wish he'd come back, at least for a little while!
Summary: The most electrifying man in Sports and Entertainment today!
