Advantages: An eye opening look into the heart of a literary genius

Disadvantages: The book contains language not suitable for children

I wasn't 100% sure when I picked up my first Charles Bukowski Poetry book. I had never heard of him before but I thought "I'll give it a shot". A couple of days later I finished the book and I'm hooked. Charles Bukowski - "The Days Run Away Like Wild Horses Over The Hills" is hilarious, unfunny, happy, sad, gritty yet suave. A writer of true distinction and well known for his temperamental character this poetry book proves it all.
Containing such poems as "The Moment Of Truth" & "On The Fire Suicides Of the Buddhists". It is is evidence that humans are still human and not made of plastic. That people still write with a sense of purpose. If you like gossip you will definitely enjoy this Poetry book. There is so much content to discuss and debate. Whether you think it is great or awful. It's a book well worth reading so you can at least say "I have read that already".... and who knows, you might love it.
