Advantages: Fame and fortune

Disadvantages: Harder work

Well, you get out what you put in. No-one is particularly interested in reading a short, poorly presented opinion of something you obviously haven't given much thought to.

THINGS THAT TURN READERS OFF

A short paragraph, with no punctuation, no capital letters, many spelling mistakes and little information.

A piece that shows you have no real interest in the product you're reviewing.

THINGS THAT TURN READERS ON

Longer, more informative pieces.

Easy to read, well presented pieces.

Pieces that order and present facts in a logical way.

Added value - extra little facts, quotes, references.

Something of yourself - something that let's the reader know there's a real person behind the opinion.

Humour - always a crowd pleaser.

Remember, you're being paid to write - that makes you a professional writer, try and act like onel. Take pride in your work and do the best job you can - it will pay off in the number of readers who look at your work - and come back for more.
