If we don't do it someone else will? Is that the total effort for an excuse for this evil? Well, OK, then let someone else do it. Let's set the example that we don't want to profit from other people's death. It may take a while for anyone to follow it, but so what? We won't be murderers. Has it never occurred to any of you people saying "that's just how the world is" that it doesn't have to be? Arms is a multi-billion pound industry. Where other industries have adverts, the arms industry has wars to demonstrate their products. Governments and groups are pushed and tricked and encouraged into fighting in order to provide showcases for more weapons sales.
People are not THAT HOSTILE if left well alone. Most wars happen because politicians, who aren't at risk of dying in wars, and who get huge consultancy fees from arms dealers when they retire from government, are talked into making them happen so that armaments get used up so that more have to be bought. And ordinary people have little choice but to die. It's sick and evil and there's no excuse. People who say that weapons stabilize the world have no idea what they're talking about, because they've never seen a world without weapons to compare with it.
(And another thing. Have you people never heard of the Export Credit Guarantee Scheme?
The Government spends your tax money coughing up to pay the arms dealers when overseas buyers default,so people who claim that it's good for the economy, will find that it's only good for people right at the top of the economy, not for ordinary taxpayers. And even if it was, I'd rather do without, thank you very much.)

If anyone reading this has ever worked in a munitions factory or been in the armed services, then shame on you I say.
You've been brainwashed into accepting someone else's picture of how things are.
It's time everyone took responsibility for making as much di
fference as they can in the direction of how things should be.
