The war on terrorism has only just begun and is already incredibly divisive. Everyday we read about the wobblers in this country (I have no doubt that the majority of dooyoo users are wobblers) and it makes me sick. If anyone had dare question WW2 in 1941 they would have been beaten up in the street. I belive we should maintain that attitude today.

We have muslims, either born or living in this country, supporting the enemy! These people should be deported or executed immediately. Two Britons have already died whilst fighting for the taliban! Many muslims belive it is ok to openly state their support for Bin Laden and Afghanistan (a recent poll suggested 65% of British Muslims have some sympathy for Bin Laden or the Taliban).

When Blair toured the Middle East trying to educate the uncivilised leaders of those countries he was made to look stupid by a variety of leaders saying they were anti the war. How long before the Taliban find countries supporting them in a Military action?

It is for this reason that I would suggest a war on Islamic fundamentalism. A fundamentalist is a dangerous person, they value their faith more than their life. Wouldn't the world be a better place without religion? think of all the conflicts that would end or would never have occured.

It is important to recognise that this war began for all the right reasons, the direction that it takes from here is unpredictable. Unless the USA and UK cut their ties with Israel I fear that this will become a world war because the only reason many muslim people sympathise with Bin Laden is because he feels that the Israelis mistreat the Palestinains. Unfortunately, he is right on this. Nothing will ever justify what he ordered in America, I hope he has a slow painful death, but we must cut Israel off so that they are forced to fend for themselves. The USA & UK are fair countries and should recognise that the state of Israel is unwanted by their neighbours, the jews
should never have had a homeland created for them.

That said if we fail to cut ties with Israel then the war continues and if it becomes a World War - so be it. USA/UK/Russia/Europe vs Afghanistan/Iraq/Indonesia/Arab nations, I'm not a bookmaker but I think I can pick a favourite.

It is important to finish this war. The Gulf war shoudln't have stopped until Saddam was dead, this war should last as long as it takes to kill Bin Laden, the Taliban and any supporters or sympathisers that they have. Their death toll could be millions but that's war.

The next few years could be tough for everyone, Any anti-war protestor or muslims in this country should be detained to stop the wobble effect.

Will Terrorism ever be totally defeated?

Not by this war alone. I firmly believe that after this war the USA & UK should go on a 'World tour' sorting out terrorist problems everywhere. The first three stops should be Ireland, Chechnya and the Basque region. should this mean airstikes in Ireland? Yes in my opinion. The incident in Birmingham shows that the IRA are still operating and if we can bomb them we should.

WW2 took 6 years, this may take longer. It will not be another Vietnam, the technology has changed. Only the wobblers and anti-war protesters can be responsible for preventing a successful conclusion to this war. If we locked them up we could drop a few nuclear bombs and end this war in weeks.

The most important thing to remember, even when you see pictures of the dying Afghan people, is that this war is right.

It is a war that needs to be fought and won.

I agree with nearly everything you have said! Well Done!

I must join in the chorus that says that, for this opinion to improve, it needs more reason, more evidence. It seems undigested. There are factual inaccuracies as well - plenty of people who questioned WW2 managed to walk through the streets of London unscathed.

How do you separate out the fundamentalists? For example, Saddam isn't one.

I get the impression that you like provoking a reaction.

If you know so much about the facts then why don't you include them in your opinion?
