I'm not the biggest football fan in the world, but I hope I know an act of courage when I see one.

Keegan was quite extraordinarily brave, I think, to admit that the job was just one above his level and step down.

How many times do we see that? Not just in football but politics, business - anywhere? We don't. Business managers on much bigger salaries than Keegan blame everyone but themselves when whatever they're in charge of fails to deliver.

Not Keegan, in the macho world of football he took the unprecedented step of accepting full responsibility and stepping down.

Was he pushed? Not if the publicity and Press materials are to be believed. In some ways, though, that didn't matter. He didn't have to be quite so humble as he left. He could have stabbed everyone else in the back. But her didn't

Now if only we could get certain politicians to follow his example.....
