England manager the worst job in England?
I don't think so, the worst jobs are where you work an 80 hour week and take home peanuts, picking the England team is pretty easy, most of us would basically agree on the best team England can put out on a football field, and most of us would agree that if we play to our full potential we could beat any team in the world.
You can see it week in and week out in the Premiership, English players playing great football, so why can't they do it when it matters?, easy question to answer that one, the expectancy of people like you and me, the players can't handle it, pure and simple.
WE expect victory, the players know this and can't handle it, a team goes at them and they go all wobbly, they think, oh no what if it's my fault if someone scores against us, I'll be hung by the press.
We need players who have ability and don't care what the public think, players who will go out and forget what is expected of them, players who will give everything for their country and then go home and think, well at least I done my best.
At the moment we have a set of players that are frightened to express themselves on the pitch, a set of players not willing to stand up and be counted, in other words a set of players who are GUTLESS, paid too much and happy to hide behind a poor team performance, I have no doubt we have the players who can do well, if only they would come out of the shadows of fear and show what they really can do.
