There ought to be a law to make sure that bad MPs are kicked out of parliament.

What do the following have in common?

Diane Abbott
Jeremy Corbyn
Tam Dalyell
George Galloway
Lynne Jones
Bob Marshall-Andrews
lan Simpson
Mike Wood

All eight are good MPs. All eight voted against the bombing of Afghanistan in 2001.

What do ALL the REST of the Labour MPs have in common? They are all bad MPs. They did not vote against the bombing of Afghanistan and thus they should all be booted out of Parliament.

HOW?

I want to see a law enacted that disqualifies from Parliament any person who votes for an illegal act of war.

Before President Carter came to power, Afghanistan had a left-wing secular government. When Carter became president, America began building up the power of the Islamic extremists. The objective was to lure the Russians into Afghanistan.

When the Taliban took power, they started getting rid of the heroin.

Bush came to power. The Taliban disagreed with the US over oil pipelines.

9 11, which was the work of the security services of certain countries, gave the West an excuse to have a series of wars. The Taliban was toppled and the war lords returned to power. The heroin flowed once more. Women continued to wear the veil. The military industrial complex and the heroin dealers were happy.

Most of the Labour MPs voted to bomb Afghanistan. Afghanistan had nothing to do with 9 11.

So, who decides if a war is illegal?

I would suggest that the British public could be asked to vote on whether or not a war is legal. Of course the public would need to be educated. But don't underestimate the public. A majority now no longer trust Herr Blair or Mr Howard.

I would also want a law that sees the instant sacking of government ministers when their policies fail.

Take LAW and ORDER. Violent crime HAS gone up and the streets are full of cheeky young yobs. Sack the Home Secretary.

There should be regular referenda to decide whether or not government policies are failing.

Footnote - how can our PRESENT bunch of unpleasant MPs be persuaded to enact my laws?

They can't be. But, if at the next election we boot out all of the Tory MPs and almost all of the Labour MPs, then there is a hope. Vote for the Liberals, Greens, Welsh Nats, SNP or other suitable 'small' parties.

Dianne Abbott's my MP, but I won't be voting for her unless she resigns from Labour before the election. Same reason I didn't vote for Livingston as mayor - if you align yourself with Blair, you align yourself with a war criminal.
