TV ads. for loans and credit
Tempting people into debt.
Firms who make delivery promises,
Knowing full well they can't be met.
Rudeness, lewdness, general crudeness,
In short, bad manners in any form.
Kids who say "F*** you" not "Thank you"
Seem these days to be the norm.
Homes where smoke alarms aren't fitted,
Lives at risk for paltry sum.
Those who call the ambulance service
For a slightly gyppy tum.
Shop assistants, who stand and gossip,
When they should be serving me.
Or need to use a calculator
To know that one plus two makes three.
Ageing fathers disco dancing,
Bumping, grinding, real 'Joe Cools'.
Can't they see their kids are cringing?
Don't they know they look like fools?
Dogs who roam the streets unwanted,
Feeding, breeding, making more.
Those who leave their pets unneutered,
Don't they know what vets are for?
Ladies who, beyond their prime years,
Wear mini skirts with alacrity,
Legs with veins all blue and bulging,
Cellulite for all to see.
Being late for all appointments,
Business, personal - this I hate!
Is MY time so unimportant
That I should be the one to wait?
Cheese that comes in plastic shrink wrap,
Milk in packs that drool when poured.
Tv ads. for toys at Christmas,
Which pressured parents can ill afford.
Failure to use a good deodorant,
Body odour's really poor!
Any lax with personal hygiene
Would feel the force of Nikki's law.
Sorry if these seem facetious,
Or you think I've wasted your time.
That was never the intention,
Of my little Dooyoo rhyme.
But, think, if just one law I've mentioned,
Were to be passed by those on high.
The world would be a better place -
That I'm sure you can't deny.
