I am sure that Treason already covers what I am about to say but nothing has been done about it so I presume that there needs to be some amendments made to the law. Following the Terrorist attacks in the USA las September I was appalled at the amount of "British" people that appeared on television either supporting Osama Bin Laden or saying that they could understand his motives. Mere moments after the attacks Tony Blair appeared on Television to state that the United Kingdom would be standing "shoulder to shoulder" with the USA in their fight against Al-Quada yet only that evening I saw an interview with a group of men outside Birmingham Central Mosque where these people stated that "America had brought it all on themselves". If anyone had dared to stand up in 1939 and say "Leave Hitler alone, he doesn't like jews and there are many good reasons to dislike jews" they would have been hung from the nearest lampost. I myself know that the some of reasons behind the attacks in the USA was caused by their willingness to support the jews in Palestine, an area where the jews are the real terrorists. But that cannot be used to excuse the deaths of thousands of innocent Americans. However, it now emerges that Al-Quada are effectivly against the whole western world mainly due to the way we run our society. This makes me wonder why we have Al-Quada sympathisers living in this country if they hate western values so much? I would like to see a law brought in whereby all Muslims are detained or asked to leave the country. Once detained we could research all of their backgrounds carefully and assess whether they pose any risk to civilised society. Anyone who openly supports Bin Laden or Al-Quada should be executed, anyone who refuses to answer questions should be deported, those who have already appeared in the press showing support should receive life imprisonment at the very least. Those who can pro
ve that they are no risk should be allowed to continue living as they were before. This is not a radical measure, this system has been employed in this country and the USA before. In fact the USA employed it during WW2 with the American-Japanese and by doing so suffered no attacks on it's home soil. I know that a lot of you reading this are bleeding-heart liberals (seems most Dooyooers fall into this category) but I would ask you to think about the greater safety of your countries population before you jump to the defence of one man's human rights. Is it worth executing one Al-Quada sympathiser to save 3,000 innocent Britons? Yes it is, is it worth the lives of 10,000 symapthisers? Yes it still is. We need to crack down on these hate preaching people that live amongst us. I am well aware that people will say most Muslims are peaceful people and thats why if they are they would be released from detainment. I just believe we need a law introduced that will protect 56,000,000 innocent British people even if it has to infringe the rights of a few thousand muslims.

- 30/07/02 lenny0 - I agree that only a strong, intelligent governemnt would have the courage to detain members of this hate filled but it could be done. |

- 30/07/02 Been away a while, come back for a look, and find AD still going off on one. Only SU, not because I disagree (although I do) but because the main argument that muslims should be detained etc in the same way that the Japanese were in the US in WWII is fallacious - Japan is a nation, Islam is a religion. Were we to be at war with, say, Iraq, then I might well support investigation of all Iraqis living in the UK, but you cannot treat all muslims as suspect becuase of the actions of a group of muslims in one country. |
