In the interest of all drivers there should be a law against speed cameras (There ought to be a law about that!)

There ought to be about speed camera?s.

Let me explain. I don?t know whether it?s just me but everywhere I go I seem to find one springing on on me. In the most perculair places, scattered everywhere in roads that you couldn?t and wouldn?t even think of. Yes, I have been caught out. Yes, I got a letter to say I was 31mph and had been caught my a speed camera that I never even thought existed. Yes, I feel very stupid.

But, I feel angry. I am not a speeder, I am not joy rider or racer and I drive safely. Yet, my failure to spot a speed camera behind a tree was my downfall. I was actually not speeding. I was doing 30mph but because the speed camera was positioned on a slope so as you go down the road, your car gain speeds, that when my 1mph came from. So, I feel duped twice. I can just see the speed camera?s laughing as they rake in money from the innocent drivers.

Yes, I do not condone the fact that near schools, streets etc there should be speed camera?s. They are an obvious deterrent and make me people slow down. But, what gets me is the fact is that almost everywhere you look, there seems to be one. And the clever thing is that they spring the speed camera on you. There is no warning and the white lines on the road only appear a couple of weeks before the yellow box has been put up. Incidentally, the yellow box seems always behind something. So, I feel asif we are being taken advantage of.

So, I think there should be a law against speed camera?s. Some of their positioning is awful. Fancy having a speed camera on a slope, so as cars pick up speed the camera?s can catch them. There should be a law against speed camera?s located behind trees or any other obstacles.

I keep to the limit and if I go over one mph then I shouldn?t have to pay?.or should I? I know that the speed limit is there for a reason but I protest my innocence and say that my exemplary driving record is a testimony to my good ability as a driver.


A new law to outlaw speed camera?s in roads that don?t need it. And to limit speed camera?s so they are not everywhere. We need some freedom as drivers. Yes, speed camera?s can make people drive slower but they also serve to generate money for the government which comes from my pocket and maybe yours if you have been caught by them.
