I've read a couple of these and it is such a nice cheery subject, I thought I would put my two cents in. This is quite difficult as the range is from the deep to the trivial, but I will give it my best. So here we go, in no particular order......

1) Friends and Family.

Almost goes without saying, but it is worth remembering that there are people that don't get on with their family or have few people they can really trust. I consider myself so lucky, I get on well with my parents, and consider my brother as one of my best friends. As for my friends, I feel blessed to have several people who would do anything for me and I would do anything for. Cheesy but true!

2) Music

Anyone that has given my reviews a quick glance will realise how important music is to me. I can be in the worst mood, but after listening to some of my favourite songs it will be instantly lifted!

3) Dancing

Goes hand in hand with music I guess, but I really really love to dance. I took lessons for 15 years, but now just enjoy going out on the town and dancing the night away or even just in my own home!! Dancing is also great if you are stressed as it releases loads of energy and you can go mad, jumping around like crazy!!! An instant mood lifter.

4) Sipping cider in a pub garden in summer

Probably when I am at my happiest. I love the summer and you cant beat a cool glass of cider with ice, sitting in a pretty pub garden with your friends. It is relaxing, sociable and fun - perhaps some may view that as a romanticised view, but I love to make it happen!

5) Theme Parks

I am a complete adrenaline junkie and love to go to theme parks. I act like a small child and run around like a loony, wanting to go on all the rides at once! Thorpe Park is probably my favourite, but it isnt just the scary rides I enjoy, I also like the water rides and things that spin!

6) Baking

I was recently given a "Cooking with Chocolate" cookbook for my birthday (I believe it was a hint!!) and so have taken up baking over the last few months. I think it is really nice to have a skill and my cakes and tortes and pies are really coming along. It gives me a great sense of achievement which makes me feel really good. And oviously, eating them doesn't make me feel too bad either!

7) Girls Nights In

I just love catching up with the girl friends. Even though I live with 3 girls, we can still have the most fun on a night in, whether we are dancing, drinking, watching a film, eating takeaway, whatever! I'm not a particularly girly girl but girls nights in are the most fun and you cant fail to enjoy yourself...... and makes me greatful for the amazing female friends I have.

8) Reading

There is really nothing like reading a good book. I love being able to escape reality and becoming immersed in the plot of a really good book. I'm particularly into crime novels, especially if they have a twist or 5!!! I have been known to disappear in to my bedroom and lose track of time when I am reading, not to emerge until the evening!

9) Photographs

I make a purposeful effort to print my photos every so often. Digital cameras are great but it is a shame that people dont print their photos as much as they used to. The thing about photos that makes me so happy is that they are the entrance point to so many good memories, whether it is of people who are no longer with us, days out, special occasions, holidays.... what's not to love?

10) Banter

One of the things I love most about my friends is the banter we have, I give as good as I get. Whenever office banter got going, the days flew by and the people's witty remarks and clever comebacks is what I enjoyed most about my last job. I think it is because banter is a sign of comraderie, it always brings a smile to my face.

So there it is my list, obviously not exhaustive but thats what brings a smile to my lips, I hope you enjoyed!

Totally agree about photos, I nearly always have my camera with me now, especially on days and nights out. I just think it brings back the whole day and what you did when you look back at them.
