Advantages: Being happy!

I'm not always the happiest of people, but despite the downs there are certain things that make me happy. Right at the top of the list at this very moment is...

Being told that I'm going to be an auntie! My brother and sister-in-law are expecting a baby later this year. They've been trying for quite a while so it was a very welcome surprise when I was told that they are expecting. The delighted parents-to-be are practically bouncing off the walls with excitement and I'm sooo happy for them! The whole family are walking around with big smiles!

Other things that make me happy are:

Music - No matter how I'm feeling, when certain songs come on the radio or on the jukebox in the pub they make me happy. For example, if a Take That song comes on it's guarrenteed to lift my mood! Then there's other songs, you know, those songs (often cheesy ones) like "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, "Living on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi, "Rock DJ" by Robbie Williams, etc.

Concerts - Live music is a wonderful thing. If you've never been to a gig/concert then you're truely missing out. The energy of the whole thing is great!

Certain people - There are certainly people in life who, no matter how you're feeling, can make you feel great. They know the right thing to say/do and how to say it.

Cats - They don't judge you and can be quite relaxing (well, they are quite possibly the most laid back creature in the world!).

Going on a trip/holiday - That brilliant feeling when you've not got a worry or care in the world. Work and problems are left far behind and the enjoyment and relaxation begins (not that I relax much on holiday, but it's some how theaputic anyway!).

And finally...

That feeling on accomplishment. When I've done something well and it's been praised.

There's probably more, but that's all I can think of right now. In truth, I'm just soooo chuffed that there's a new baby on the way in the family!
