Advantages: Being happy is good.

Disadvantages: None.. just wish everyone could stop making people unhappy

Well I like this kind of review. After having a damn awful year and being diagnosed with depression... I reckon something like this needs to be filled in to remember me i'm on the up :) In no particular order:

Sunny days - The sky is blue, there's a smell of BBQs in the air (yes.. i'm a vegetarian).. people are strolling in parks eating ice creams, and everything just feels great.

Walking my dog - I got my amazing doggie back in February (if any of you have read my Dogs Trust review you'll know the story... she is absolutely wonderful, she has a big smiley face and I enjoy walking her in the countryside near to where I live. I love being able to say hello to other people that are walking their dogs, without them we'd probably never speak. Betsy loves to play in the stream and is happiest splashing around. Sometimes we use Geocache with my family and go hunting down the treasure whilst walking her. She's not the best behaved dog and has 'selective hearing'.. she may hear you if you're calling her for dinner or to play, but if she's hearing you to put her on the lead, she doesn't hear you..funny that? :) I love jogging along with her and she gives me so much confidence.

My family - My family is all a bit mish-mashed together but we all love each other and are there for each other especially in times of need. My brother and sister are ten and are the sweetest and naughtiest kids at the same time. My other brother lives abroad, I am so proud of him. I'm the eldest and I love looking after my younger siblings and being a good role model for them. When I was really ill my brother and sister would come and give me hugs and keep me company, the are amazing little people.

Photography - I discovered my love of photography 5 years ago when I was 16. I immediately became passionate about it and am now doing a degree on the subject. My camera gives me something to hide behind which actually in turn gives me more confidence to speak to people. It also means I get to meet people and go to places i'd never normally get to. I also love that I have developed a talent for something, and that I can feel proud of myself. I feel good when i'm holding a camera :)

Children in general - Kids make me happy, seeing them all happy over the smallest thing, like my brother and sister being amazed by something, or a child really interested in a book, or giggling at a passing dog makes me smile.

My partner- Is absolutely amazing, kind, funny, popular, and we are so alike and so different at the same time... being in love rocks :)

Meeting people from different cultures - I have so many friends from different countries and LOVE hearing their stories, their backgrounds and learning bits of their languages. It's sad if they live far away but when I get to travel to see them or they come to see me, we always have a great time and fantastic memories are made.

Charity shop shopping - I love this! Do it 2-3 times a week just for a browse and usually end up buying something. I love reading books and getting them for 50p instead of the usual 6.99 is fab! :) Also love trying on things I wouldn't usually wear. Finding unique stuff for cheap prices is fantastic and I usually get compliments on what I wear.

General kindness - there is so much crap in this world with crime/wars/racism/homophobia/murders..... it is nice to see when people 'love thy neighbour'... despite me not being in any way religious I have many morals and thoughts in my life that link to religious ways....and the basic thought of caring for fellow persons around you is something I wish everyone followed. If they did the world would be a happy, happy place for everyone. Simple kindness and random acts of kindness to strangers are the best. Infact, I feel I shall endeavor to do this at least once a day now i've made a point of mentioning it.

Anyway that's all I can think of right now... so there we go :) This has made me all smiley now.. Excellent :)

Summary: I love this topic! Thank you for everyone that has contributed..interesting reads.

I agree with you about the kindness thing. Some people have lost the knack of caring. It's great that you are a veggie too. Great list. xx
