First tip for christmas shopping is make sure you have enough money, save all the year through, it might mean you have little less, but it will be worth it at christmas.

Make sure if you are using a credit card that you remember what you are buying, as you don't want to forget as the bills will start to mount up.

Save money if you are buying a family present like a new Widescreen television, buy it in the christmas sales, you could save loads, if you can go up, to the big chain stores like Dixons, currys, comet on Christmas Eve, as they should be putting up the posters for the bxing day sales, thats what i did, and got my DVD player for £50 less, after a saw them deliver a box full of leaflets that were meant to be for boxing day, I grabbed one and ask the manager if I could have the reduction early, he agreed, so don't be afraid to haggle, and ask, it will save you money.

Look on the internet for bargains as their are many places that beat the high street prices.

Get your christmas presents through out the year, if you see a bargain buy it, don't think that its too early to get it. It will save you a lot of stress.

Don't believe or the hype surrounding a product for Example the Playstation 2, I say get a Sega Dreamcast, you can save yourself a lot of money and pick them up for about £100 now. Plus there a lot of quality games around for it. If you are determined to get a playstation2 wait, until you can buy them in the shops so there is at least some competition for prices.

Plan what shops you are going to go to, as you will have to queue and you will wear yourself out, so wear a pair of comfortable shoes.
