Tomorrow at Sandown Park is the At the races gold cup formerly known as the Whitbread gold cup and here is my detailed analysis of every horse and finally my tip for the race. The race is run over three miles and five and a half furlongs with a stiff uphill finish so stamina is a must for any horse hoping for success. The course would have been soaked today with very heavy downpours and more forecast for tonight so the ground should be riding good,maybe even on the soft side of good. S o here we go again for the annual carnage, err premier steeplechase over the fences of Aintree. The Grand National never seems to attract as much glamorous protest movements as Foxhunting, which I always find a little strange. I know one anti race group has put on some minibuses to try and disrupt the day, but last years turn out was so poor because of the weather that this year they are paying every one that turns up a crisp fiver.
