1. NWA – Straight Outta Compton has to be my favourite hip hop album of all time. With so many great rappers aNll in one group the C.D’s they produce have to be good. With so many great tunes on the album, like the fantastic “Express Yourself” and “Straight Outta Compton.” This album must be heralded as one of the best hip hop albums of all time, this album is totally awesome with so many more stunning tracks.

2. Dr Dre – 2001 The Chronic, this album contains so many great artists its untrue, from Eminem to Snoop Dogg, Xzibit to Nate Dogg, this helps add to the albums already super setup. With Dre producing the album the man has shown his capabilities and his music talent. The number of awesome tracks on the album is unreal, with tracks like “Still D.R.E” and “Forget About Dre,” plus many more this album will be probably Dr Dre’s best of all time.

3. Snoop Dogg – Tha Last Meal, this album was produced by Dre so is bound to be good. It also contains a number of great artists, which helps to obtain the massive status Snoop Dogg has set himself. With many awesome tracks on the album including, “Lay Low” which contains many of Americas best rappers including, Master P, The eastsidaz and Nate Dogg which is what makes this album so cool!!! This is definitely Snoop’s best album so far.

4. Dr Dre – The Chronic, this album was produced in 1992 by deathrow records. The album contains many of Dre’s original and somewhat better tunes, like “let me ride”, (my favourite) and the great “nuttin’ but a g thang”, containing Snoop Dogg which was Americas favourite hip hop tune of the early 90’s. with so many other great tunes backing these tunes up this album is also one of Dre’s best.

5. Xzibit – Restless, this album is another on produced by Dre. It contains lots of fantastic tunes includi
ng “X” and many more which are just as good. It also contains other great rappers incuding, Snoop, Eminem and Dre. This album is certainly my favourite from Xzibit, whether it is because it is produced by Dre, I don’t know, but this album is really super and should be bought by any rap fan.

6. Eazy E – Eternal E, as I said in my opinion of this album if you can withstand Eazy’s whine then this is a great album to buy. Produce back in the days of NWA it obviously features members of the group, which makes the album great with a different flavour. With Yella on the decks the beat in this album is truly brilliant. It contains great tunes, including, boyz in tha hood, and 8 ball.

7. Jay-Z – The Dynasty, this album contains Jay-Z’s latest tune, “I just wanna love u” which is a really great tune. It also contains many super tunes, which make this album a real gem. This also contains many different rappers from both coasts of America which adds a sweet touch to the album. Some may say this album is a little too personal.

8. Notorious BIG – Born Again, this album was unfortunately Biggie’s last album. It is still a really great album even though he is not with us anymore. It contains the great song “NOTORIOUS BIG” which contains Biggie’s two pals Puff Daddy and lil’ Kim. This album also cantains many other good rappers and artists. Other artists on the album include, Busta Rhymes, Eminem, Snoop Dogg and many more. This makes this album really special as it proves there are no hard feelings between East and West.

9. 2Pac – Greatest Hits, being a double C.D and being the greatest hits, every song on this album is superb, the reason it isn’t higher is because 2Pac isn’t personally my favourite rapper as I believe he flared up the East and West arguments. The album still contains some super tracks including, California Love and Changes
it also features a few other great artists including, Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre.

10. De La Soul – Artificial Intelligence, This album is a bit more mellow than the others I have listed, it contains many famous, incredible tunes including “Oooh Oooh” and “All Good.” Along with many other great tunes and rappers including, Xzibit and Busta Rhymes. The album has a cracking beat to it and is a really good album to chill out to.
