Advantages: I got most things!

Disadvantages: No Snow!

Christmas has been and gone, all the decorations are down and everything looks bare! I hope you all had a lovely time over the Christmas/New Year and that you got all you wanted.

I thought today would be a good day to reflect on the festive season and let you know what I got from Christmas list...

So here goes, my top 10 Christmas List, (with the updated bit at the end of each one):

1) I would like to have my flat decorated by Christmas; we moved in, in May and it still isn't finished despite our best efforts. Little things keep getting in the way like money etc and we've had a couple of big set backs with several serious illnesses on both sides of our families. So fingers crossed that we get a bit of time for ourselves so we can be selfish and get painting!

** Most of the flat got done! Only the spare room didn't get done so it didn't matter. I even got a new carpet for the living room, (the old floors were 1950s black bitumen which is like smooth tarmac), which made such a huge difference to the room. I really love the way it turned out - especially my PINK bedroom!

2) I want to make sure that I get everyone something for Christmas even if it's only a small thing. I often see things I know a certain person will like and I just buy them, this means some people, (the people it is easy to buy for), end up with loads of things and the others, (the people it is so hard to buy for), end up with nothing so we have to rush round at the last minute and stretch ourselves too much money wise.

** Thankfully everyone got pressies off of us. I had got a lot more in over the year than I had thought so we we didn't have too much shopping to do. I made the most of the internet and did the rest online. I think I managed to get everyone something that they liked.

3) I want a bit of peace for me and Tim at Christmas so we can relax and just enjoy each other's company. We have been working so hard to try and pay off everything we owe and I think we deserve a bit of time for each other.

** We managed to have a wonderfully relaxing Christmas. Our best friend stayed with us for the week before Christmas and left Christmas eve then my Mum, Step-Dad and Brother popped in Christmas morning for an hour or so leaving us to enjoy most of Christmas alone before heading to my Dad's for a bit in the evening. It may sound boring but it was just what we needed after the year we had.

4) I want to know that all my family and friends are happy and safe. This means so much to me as I just couldn't relax if I didn't know that they were all alright.

** Everyone was happy, healthy and kept in touch so that was great!

Now for the materialistic things....

5) I'd quite like an Uglydoll - they sell them at firebox.com - I've wanted one for ages but they are too expensive to justify getting for myself. Let's hope Santa reads this!

** I didn't get this one but hey it's my birthday Tuesday so there's still a chance!

6) I'd love a selection of things from Lush - a nice soap and a couple of bath ballistics would be great. I always like to have a nice long bath after Christmas dinner.

** The Lush fairy definitely delivered, (reviews to follow), and I got my Christmas bath! I actually got one of their gift boxes for the first time this year. It was so beautifully wrapped it was a shame to open it.

7) Mmm, it's starting to get a bit tricky now. I guess if money were no object I'd love a PS3 and the newest final fantasy game to play on it. In reality though I will probably wait until after Christmas and wait for the price to drop a bit.

** As predicted, no PS3 but in truth I never expected one either. I did however get a gamecube which is something I have wanted for years but just never got round to getting. It was a really nice surprise.

8) I need a new mouse for the PC, if I get one as a present I would like a really nicely designed optical mouse with a cord. For some reason I can't get on with cordless mice!

** I got this just before Christmas but it was exactly what I wanted.

9) Comics, I love comics and I would love to own the Tank Girl comics and pretty much anything by Neil Gaiman or Roman Dirge that I haven't already got.

** No new comics but I did get the Gaiman TV series "Neverwhere" on DVD.

Now for the thing I want every year for Christmas.......

10) SNOW!!!!!

** Needless to say it didn't snow! :-( But I had a great Christmas anyway!

Summary: I hope you had a lovely Christmas.
