Advantages: You may want to watch these for the 1st time

Disadvantages: You may hate my choices

I'm not sure how easy it's going to be to name just 10 of my fav films as I;m sure I have way more than 10 favourite films. I have a mixture of tastes in film and you may love hate or never heard of them but here are my personal favourites:

1) Labyrinth - A great film which reminds me of my childhod. This film is about a girl called Sarah who is sick of baby sitting and summons the Goblins to take her baby step-brother away. When the baby actually dissapears she must follow him into the world of the fairy-tale to rescue him from the wicked Goblin King (played by David Bowie). In this film you will meet many strange and wonderful characters as Sarah tries to find her way to the Goblin King's Castle.

2) Arachnophobia - I have to say that I am NOT a fan of spiders but I LOVE this film. This film is about a Doctor who is terrified of spiders, but when he moves his family to a small town and realises neighbours in the town are dying from spider bites his worst nightmare becomes reality when he finds the nest in his wine cellar. This film is packed with plenty of thrills, chills and laughter. It will have you checking your bed before you go to sleep.

3) 10 Things I Hate About You - I have to say that this has to be one of my favourite films, purely because it has the gorgeous Heath Ledger in it, when he had long brown hair and he looks absolutely gorgeous!! It is a great film though about a guy (Cameron) who wants to date a girl (Bianca) and take her out, but until her older sister (Kat, played by Julia Stiles) gets a date Bianca is not allowed to date. A mysterious bad boy (Heath Ledger), takes Kat our for a bet but falls in love with her. I don't want to say anymore as I don't want to ruin it for the people who haven't seen it!

4) The Goonies - Definately another favourite from my child-hood. I'm sure many people will have seen this film before. The Goonies find a map and follow the trail underground, through booby-traps and to a long-lost pirate ship full of treasure. How-ever behind them are the bad guys who also want the treasure as well. This is a fantastic action packed film with dazzling effects and lots of thrills.

5) Forrest Gump - Starring Tom Hanks, I think this is a truly amazing film. The film tells the story of a man and his epic journey through life meeting historical figures, influencing popular culture and experiencing first-hand historic events of the late 20th century while being largely unaware of their significance, due to his borderline mental retardation. This did bring tears to my eye's in a lot of places but this is a truly fantastic film and a must see!

6) Batman - This is a great action packed film starring Micheal Keaton as Batman and Jack Nicholson as Joker. As a child Bruce Wayne (Micheal Keaton) saw his parents killed and he gows up avenging their death against the criminals in Gotham City. His disguise is Batman. Joker has a plan to try and alter all hygiene products so that people using these certain cosmetics die. Batman attempts to track down the joker but will he suceed? I have to admit that still to this die (and i'm 23), The Joker still scares me! I think it's his pure white face and green hair!

7) Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - I love all of the Indiana Jones films, but this is my favourite. It obviosuly stars the Famour Harrison Ford and Sean Connery and Indy's dad. Indy's Dad (Henry Jones), is looking for the Holy Grail but is caprtured by the Nazi's, now Indiana Jones has to track down his dad using his dad's book as the only clues to help him. This is a great action packed film and will have you on the edge of your seat all the way through. This will also having you laughing as well.

8) The Neverending Story - This is a great magical, and fantasy film which takes place in the magical world of Fantasia, which is a world being destroyed by the Nothing. When Bastian borrows a mysterious book he never dreamed turning a page would draw him into a shimmering fantasy world of racing snails, hang-glider bats, puckish elves, a Childlike Empress, a Brave Warrior Atreyu and a walking quarry called Rock Biter. This is a must see film and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. I love the fantasy and magical side of it all in a land of make believe.

9) Chill Factor - This films stars Cuba Goding, Jr & Skeet Ulrich, who are just 2 ordinary guys, until a dying scientist entrusts them with a deadly chemical on ice: codenamed Elvis. The unlikely allies are propelled on a dangerous journey pursued by terrorists out for retribution and intent on retriveal of this substance that will kill every living thing in a hundred miles, once it melts and activates. This is a fantastic explosive action thriller.

10) The Bourne Identity - Found with 2 bullets in his back, Jason Bourne discovers he has the skills of a very dangerous man and no memory of his violent past. Racing to unlock the secret of his own identity, he discovers the deadly truth . . . that he is an elite government agent, a 30 million dollar weapon the government no longer trusts. This is a fantastic explosive, action packed hit with incredible fight sequences. I know there have been 2 sequels since this film was made, but this still stands as my favourite out of them all. If you like action this is definately a film to see!

Summary: My favourite top 10 films of all time!
