House music? Me - a fan of house music? Anyone who's read any of my reviews might not have thought it. A 43 year old mother of three who wants to be a music teacher when she grows up and buys Clarks shoes!

Well, it may surprise you to know that I absolutely love house music. And here are my top10 of all time.

1. 'Country House' by Blur
When are the Blur boys going to get back together? This brings back great memories of when I started my current job and it was on the juke box (do they still call it that?) in the pub or 'bank' as we used to call it, because we left school every Friday lunchtime en mass and the kids always wanted to know where we were off to.

2. 'Our House' by Madness
This song reminds me that my house is often madness, but I love it and wouldn't be anywhere else.

3. Another 'Our House', this time by Crosby Stills, Nash and Young
Again, 'Our house, is a very very fine house' just says it all.

4. 'House of the Rising Sun' by the Animals
Classic. It's been the ruin of many poor boy though, and girl, I expect.

5. 'A House is not a Home' by Brooke Benton
I love listening to this track from my best of Burt Bacharach album while I'm cleaning up, or reading the papers on a Sunday morning. Love Brooke Benton's silky smooth voice.

6. 'Brick House' by The Commodores
Funky track by the Commodores. Never understood what it's about. Haven't actually listened to it for a while but remember my boyfriend (now husband) would play this when I went-a -courtin'.

7. Tom Jones and the Cardigans' version of 'Burning Down the House' by Talking Heads
I'm a big fan of the Tom Jones Reload album and enjoy all of his collaborations on here. This track is particularly good to sing badly to.

8. The Shakin' Stevens classic 'This Ole House'
No family party is the same without Shakin' Stevens in one form or another. We love this for pass the parcel!

9. 'Kirby's House' by Razorlight
My favourite track from the self-titled Razorlight album after 'America'. Catchy, jolly and generally up there.

10. Radiohead's track 'Life in a Glass House' from the Amnesiac Album was fantastic live on 'Later with Jools Holland. Not the cheeriest number but fab arrangement with jazzy brass behind it.
Hope you like my top 10 House tracks, nothing to do with House music I know, but just couldn't resist it!

Watch out for my top 10 Garage tracks next week.

Summary: House music - I love ya!
