I am a sucker for soppy songs, if I am feeling down I will pull out my collection of cd’s, to listen to. It is an instant cheer up. Well for me anyway. My boyfriend doesn’t share my opinion; he thinks that my taste in music is rubbish. I feel that most men would agree with him, but most ladies would like some of the songs I have listed. I would like to think that there are a few soppy blokes out there, as well. So here goes, these are my top ten soppy songs. 10) I don’t want a lover – Texas. This is very a catchy song, which is from their latest album Texas greatest hits. There are many different versions but they are all equally as good. 9) A little time – Beautiful south. This is quite an old song, but it is excellent. I really liked the video for this song but you don’t really see it now days. 8) I’d lie for you (and that’s the truth) – Meat loaf. This is such a powerful song, the lyrics are great, and my favorite part of the song is when Meat loaf’s wife duets with him near the end. It surprises me that I actually like this as all of his other music is to far fetched for me. 7) Hard to say I’m sorry – Chicago. I don’t really know why I like this, It is just one of those songs I love. I cannot explain it. 6) Torn – Natalie Umbruglia. When this was first released I loved it, but I thought that Natalie would not last five minutes, as she was in the Aussie soap neighbors (Beth). From past records soap stars release songs and they fail miserably. But to my relief Natalie is still going strong. 5) My heart will go on - Celine Dion. This is a great song, as it is the theme tune to the legendary movie titanic. I think that when this was first released everybody loved it, not jut me. 4) I still haven’t found what I’m looking for – U2. This is featured i
n the motion picture movie Runaway bride, with Julia Roberts. 3) Nothing compares to you – Sinead O’Connor. With this song, I feel that quite a lot of people will be able to relate to its lyrics very easily. It has always been able to bring a tear to eye. It was released in 1990 and has been a favorite of mine ever since. 2) Careless whisper – George Michael. This is a spectacular song, along with most of George’s other stuff. He is an absolute legend. 1) Lady in red – Chris de burg. This song is on my Chris de burg album Spark to a flame. Unlike most albums you can listen to this all the way through easily. I don’t know why but when I listen to this I always think of the movie Pretty woman (Julia Roberts), it must be the red frock she wares in the film. So there you have it my top ten soppy songs. I hope that there or some of you, who think that these songs listed are worth a mention. Thank you for reading bubbles.
