Top 10 Summer Destinations Discussion

Newest Review: ... days camping in the park with one of the small group 4-wheel drive tours and soak up the fact that you really are miles from any form of civilisation. On our last day in the park we did a croc-watching boat trip, and that was the only time we saw any other people. Runners Up: Numerous. I love National Parks, and I am sure I have been to some fabulous ones without even realising they were NPs, and I am also sure that I will forget some but here goes some highlights: Zion, Yosemite, Great Smokey Mountains in US; Tikal (Guatemala); Palenque (Mexico); Plitvice Lakes, (Croatia); Dartmoor (UK)); South Luangwa (Zambia); Chitwan (Nepal); Abel Tas... more

100 reviews eh? Just over three years later, I finally make it. One bored Wednesday at work, and I came across this category in Ciao Café and decided to use the similar titled category in the DooYoo lounge to honour this landmark over on this side, although not all are specific summer destinations, but I tend to take my holidays in summer (be it our summer or the Southern Hemisphere's summer - it is summer somewhere in the world even if I'm not there...). I am completely unable to choose my Top Ten best places I have ever been to on my travels. I really couldn't decide, so thought I would do it under sub-headings, but am still struggling to think of only one 'best' in .  Read the complete review

In no particular order, here are my 10 best summer destination - some are just fantastic all year round. Have to promote my home country first. The South Island of New Zealand is just paradise, here on earth. It is so scenic you will need at least 3 weeks to drive around it. I suggest you hire a motorhome and then just meander as the ever-changing scenery draws you south. Pick up a vehicle at Picton, in the north of the South Island then motor over to Nelson, the centre of New Zealand. In this province you can experience all that is New Zealand: beaches, rivers, lakes, native bush, wineries, orchards, craft and artworks and friendly, ...  Read the complete review

It is often a welcome break to find a topic within the Speakers Corner section which allows you to wax lyrical free from the constraints of describing a specific product and trying to be passionate about shower gel or the like. However quite the most brilliant shower gel can be found blah blah blah. Anyway like most people I love to travel and have been fortunate over the years to visit some great destinations so to find a topic that allows me to summarize some of my favorite places was too good an opportunity to miss so here goes my top ten summer destinations although to be honest most of these would be great any time of the year. Lisbon is one of ...  Read the complete review

Ho hum...here’s another opinion before I clear off this weekend and visit the land of Leprechauns and pots of gold at the end of rainbows (whaddya mean it’s not true?). Holidays are lovely aren’t they? I mean, who doesn’t look forward to their annual sojourn to somewhere nice? It’s funny how things have turned out. Up until the age of 20 I’d only even been abroad once would you believe? That was to Northern Italy when I was 12. We was a very poor family y’see and then I only went ‘cos me mam won some bunce at the bingo. Since then I’ve taken every chance possible to go on a holiday now that I earn my own money so here’s a list of places I’m masquerading as a top 10 ...  Read the complete review

I’m not into two weeks of dance music with thick Northerners or soggy English camp sites.I like cities with beaches on my travels where everything is their at your fingertips.Metroplitan girls and bars, exotic beers and sun bouncing off every skyscraper and Mediterranean forehead. !) MELBOURNE …Australia’s most relaxed and cosmopolitan easygoing city by the sea. The girls are the sexiest in Australia and all like neighbor’s extras. The set is actually in the city from the dire soap and the food is excellent. No price rips of and the nightlife is refined to the weekend. That means you save money and have a higher pull rate. ...  Read the complete review
