I love reading and generally enjoy most books so choosing my top ten authors is going to be tricky : - ) 1. Virginia Andrews - She is by far the best author I have ever read, she wrote classics such as Flowers in the Attic and Heaven, she writes superbly and really stands out with her fantastic prose. 2. Jaqueline Wilson - I have read her books for years and love the way she deals with issues facing children evryday while writing a brilliant and captivating story at the same time. 3. I love words, I love reading and I love books - I could not imagine life without them. My favourite author of all time is Kathleen Winsor. She wrote my favourite book, 'Forever Amber', a fantastic novel set in Restoration England and containing such graphic accounts of the Great Plague and the Great Fire of London, that you feel you are actually there with the protagonists. I love this book so much I have two copies in case I ever lose one or lend it to someone who also wants to keep it. I have read it three times and will read it again and again. I am an avid book reader. I absolutely love reading. I've picked out ten of my preferred authors and a reason as to why. 1) James Patterson - Is there any question that he is the best author around at the moment? No way! His fast short chapters create a book that is so easy to read. I love the women's murder mystery series with the books about Alex Cross coming as a very close second! The characters he characters seem so real, you feel like your in the story with them, living and feeling what they are.
