I am an avid book reader. I absolutely love reading. I've picked out ten of my preferred authors and a reason as to why.

1) James Patterson - Is there any question that he is the best author around at the moment? No way! His fast short chapters create a book that is so easy to read. I love the women's murder mystery series with the books about Alex Cross coming as a very close second! The characters he characters seem so real, you feel like your in the story with them, living and feeling what they are. Highly recommended.
2) Mark Gimenez - Ok, I may be criticised for including him as he has only released 3 books to date but I love the way in which he write. He is one of the only authors who I literally cannot put down until I've finished the book.
3) Martina Cole - The queen of the underworld! Her villains are the best ever imagined. How on earth she thinks up her stuff is beyond me. And I thank her for it. Although, she is being chased by Mandasue Heller for her crown so she needs to watch her back.
4) Alex Gross - Again, another that I've picked who hasn't had many books release (solely) but he gets me on the very edge of my seat start to finish. I knew he would be good as he had collaborated with James Patterson on various occasions and was highly recommended by him. I expect more thrills and mystery to come.
5) Louise Bagshawe - I give you the queen of chic lit! She gives you the strong minded females and red-blooded males that you love to read about! Passion and fashion included in almost all books. She always seems to go from strength to strength with each book. Personal favourite of her is Sparkles.
6) Katie Price - I will be questioned for this choice, I have no doubt about that, but I love her novels. They are full of sex and so easy to read. Can't beat Angel to sit by the beach and read. Please read her stuff before you make a judgement.
7) Lynda LaPlante - The author that brought you Trial and Retribution. That itself should say it all. My ultimate favourite book, Bella Mafia is written by this wonderful woman.
8) Faye Kellerman - Culture and crime are united in her books writing about the Jewish religion whilst giving you a mind blowing thriller at the same time. Is anyone as good at her genre as she is? I think not.
9) Enid Blyton - As a child, there was only one authors books who I would read... Enid Blyton! Forgot Roald Dahl or Jacqueline Wilson, she is the one and only as far as I am concerned. From the famous five to Noddy, Mallory Towers to the Secret Seven I read them all. She is the one who got me into reading books, and for that I will be eternally grateful.
10) Cecelia Ahern - After reading P.S I Love you, I immediately went out and bought the rest of her books, and by new releases by pre-release on amazon. Her emotive language is so fantastic.

Summary: I love all of these..do you?
