Advantages: Quality TV For All The Family

Disadvantages: None

Here I write our top ten, mine, my partners & our 2yr old daughters.

As it for the three of us rather then having a wide variety I'm going to have most of them as "recent" shows. The other reason for this is that I remember what I watched but I don't feel I could do justice to them as memory isn't 100%.

1: Balamory
Who can't love the colourful houses, the cheery songs and the overall enthusiasm shown by all the cast. Set in Tobermory this is a great programme for all to watch. Kids & grown ups will love dancing to the groovy tunes. Go no you know you want to dance & sing with Josie Jump, Suzie Sweet, Penny Pocket, Edie McReadie, Archie, Spencer, PC Plum & Miss Hoolie.
Only one question, Why does Miss Hoolie never go visiting?

2: Tikkabilla
This is a modern day Playschool complete with square, arch & round windows. Mascot type thing is Tamba the purple dragon & there are 6 - 8 human cast all full of fun, again bright, cheery, attention catching and it is also infomative for the adult too. For example today we saw how toothbrushes were made, boring for some but as my partner said adult shows wouldn't think of showing it and it is one of those questions you'd love to know the answer too.

3: The Magic Rounabout
We're all a bit young to remember it first time round but I have seen most of the re-runs admittely becuse of the film but its cool Baby loves Dougal, me I prefer Dylan. Quality show shoul be remade.

4: Bob The Builder
Compelling cartoon colourful, exciting watch Bob, Wendy and all the gang build anything & everything. His crew include, Scoop, Lofty, Dizzy, Muck oh and Pilchard the cat.

5: Fireman Sam
Another classic still going strong sit back and enjoy the antics in PontyPandy as Sam always seems to be who is needed for any problem. As he drives around in Jupiter keeping his town safe. Another great original.

6: Postman Pat
Yes he's still going strong with his red van and Jess the cat and getting everyone's mail out on time. Yet another still enjoyable classic.

7: Muffin The Mule
We're all a bit young to remember it first time round but I have seen one or two re-runs and both are fun to watch as the only one who has the solution to all his friends problems is Muffin when he dons his tinking cap. Quality remake of a timeless classic.

8: Rainbow
Geofrey, Bungle, Zippy & George. Yes The original we're sad we bought them so we all enjoy this classic just a pity its not on anymore.

9: Fimbles / tweenies / teletubbies
All good fillers but as a family we only watch them if there's nothing else on. Not enough stimulation for us big kids

10: Smarteenies
It has to be mentioned and where I feel it is a good show my partner and I agree that the only drawback is that Bizi Lizi often paints the screen which we discovered our daughter likes to try and do but other than that the cast are cool, Lizi is joined by Mark Speight, Kirstien O'Brien, & Jay (forgot surname, sorry) each have their inividual spots an the smarteenies pencil nominates them for two each I think.
Great if screen painting was stopping.

Anyway these are 10 of our fav's there are many more, sooty, thundercats, dangermouse, barney, pingu to mention a few.

Thanks for reading

If you have access to the channel "nick jr" you can see repeats of rainbow every night at 8pm. Classic!

I'd have to put Tom and Jerry in there somewhere :)
