Advantages: Good programme.

Disadvantages: Don't know the name!

Today me and my friends got into this conversation about what programmes we watched when we were younger. There was this one programme that used to be shown on BBC1 or BBC2. It was set in this child's bedroom/playroom, and the toys used to come to life when no one was in there. There used to be a hot water bottle and an accordion in it that used to speak,a nd this toy car and toy elephant. The car used to go and hide, and the elephant would have to go and find it. It was definitley shown in the 90's, and me and my friends can remember it, but we can't think what the programme was called. can anyone help me and maybe tell us what it was called, or a website where there will be info on it?

Hi, the programme you are thinking about is called, 'Johnson and Friends'.
It is a story of a child’s toys coming to life when no one is looking! The main characters are a pink towelling elephant named Johnson, the eerily unblinking, hopping accordion McDuff - she wheezes out notes as she moves and a foam car called diesel who’s a bit rough and ready! They all amble about Michaels brightly coloured bedroom having fun with the other toys. We never get to see Michael. Its from the 1990's.

I know the one you mean but I can't remember what it was called, it was much more recent than Bagpus...

I have no idea! Here's the address of a website that might be able to help, though: http://tv.cream.org

This topic is for writing about your top 10 of childrens' programmes.
