Advantages: Great Books- Great Reads

Disadvantages: Hard to dwindle down to ten

I just found this topic. Top Ten Books. I am very excited. If I could review books on here I would be rating every moment I wasn't reading. I have an eclectic group of books on my list but I hope someone will read this and decide to read a few of these titles.
So here is my list
1. "The Clan of the Cave Bear," by Jean M. Auel (A Prehistorical novel)
So basically this is my favorite book of all time because it is the start of my favorite series, "Earth's Children" It is about a girl name Ayla who loses her family in a terrible earthquake and gets adopted by Neanderthals. She struggles for acceptance because she is an "other." Her tale is beautifully written and will leave you wanting more.

2. "People of the Wolf," by Michael Gear and Kathleen O'Neil Gear (Another prehistorical novel about Native Americans)
Again, this is my second favorite book of all time because it is the start of another series I love (People of the...) I enjoy the historical information that is provided as well as a real story to make the past come alive.
3. "Jane Eyre," by Charlotte Bronte
I first read this book in high school. I fell in love with the characters right away. It is beautifully written as well as Victorian. I love Victorian Literature.

4. "Twilight," by Stephenie Meyer
Again, this is my fourth favorite because it is the first book of another one of my favorite series. I love reading about Vampires. Somehow the bad guy is really great to fall in love with.
5. "Marked," by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast.
ANOTHER favorite series of mine- The House of Night Series. I LOVE THIS SERIES! Very cool. The main character Zoey Redbird makes this series fun to follow. See what happens to her! Amazing writing, too.

6. "The Tender Years," by Janette Oke
The start of The Prairie Series. This is a Christian book series and I love it. I really admire her as a writer, too.
7. "Pere Goriot," by Balzac
Ok, it's French, it's funny and clever- what's not to love? His books are not necessarily part of a series but characters mingle in and out of his novels.

8. "Wuthering Heights," by Emily Bronte
She is a genius in English Literature. This is an amazing novel.
9. "Frankenstein," by Mary Shelley
Maybe this should be my number one. I am having a hard time deciding. Being a Gothic novel makes this even more appealing. I always love a novel about the nature of God.

10. "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," by J.K. Rowling
Apparently I am a fan of series. But this is sooo good. My favorite Character is Professor Severus Snape (gotta love the bad guy) and who wouldn't love Hagrid? If you haven't read this series before I implore you to start now. The new movie is coming out soon.
This is my favorite 10 books of all time. When I hit the publish button I am going to wish I put a 100 more books on this list. It was really hard to just pick my top 10. I hope you enjoyed reading this and also that you pick at least one of these books that you have not read before and read it. Trust me, they are all really great reads.

Summary: My top ten books of all time.
