****My Top Ten TV Characters****
Seeing as though I have done my top ten most annoying & bugging characters though I should dedicate a review to my top ten TV characters. These little beauties are what make you tune into the programme and hook you into their strange worlds. They have something about them. Some are charming whilst others (the men) simply good looking and appealing to watch. Others are comic geniuses and whacky but most of all they are great viewing. You may not have heard of all of these characters but I though I would share them with you anyway!
(I sky plus my programmes to save up to watch most programmes as I said before then you can zippidy past the annoying little toady characters or adverts!)
10-Samantha Jones -Sex and the City (Kim Catrall)
I loved Sex and the city but for some reason Sarah Jessica Parker started to grate on me. I felt Kim Cattrall on the other hand was a real gem in the show. As Samantha she was confident, brass, balshy, crude and just so funny. Some of the exploits she got up to were hilarious.
9-Bryan Potter/Maxwell Bygraves -Phoenix Nights (Peter Kay)
Phoenix Nights was created by Peter Kay and is set in a workings men's club in Bolton. Peter Kay is hilarious as Bryan Potter the over confident yet stupid Club owner. He also plays the part of Maxwell Bygraves who the bouncer on the door. Max landed him self his own spin off programme.
8-Barry - Auf Weidersehen Pet (Timothy Spall)
I remember the original Auf Weidersehen Pets as our family come from the north east my parents would watch these for nostalgia. The first tow series were in Germany and Spain. We have them all on DVD and I was recently re-watching the Cuba and Grand Canyon ones. Now Barry is a Brummie and in these episodes he has made his money was wealthy. He was as funny as he is still a bit thick and his Russian wife took him for a ride. The scenes with him in the Cuban jail were very funny as he was like a male version of Bridget Jones in the Thai Jail!
7-6- Joey and Chandler - Friends (Matt Le Blanc / Matthew Perry)
I had to put both together as they tended to be funnier when together. Friends is one of my top shows but it is a show you either love or hate. Joey is so lovely and dumb all at the same time. I will always remember his phrase ''how you doin''. Chandler has some great one liners and I loved it when Kathleen Turner played his Dad. Joey and Chandler bounce off each other and the series when they lived together were some of the best. I'll always remember the Jelly fish incident between Joey/Monica and Chandler.
5-Ally McBeal - Ally McBeal (Callista Flockhart)
She is a lawyer in a Boston law firm and is one whacky character. This series was brilliant and I used to love it when it was on that I even had the cd from the woman who used to sing in the bar. I used to love the strange dream sequences Ally had and the show was always entertaining. Ally was the lead and she led the show really well.
4-Seely Booth - Bones (David Borenaz)
Seely is an FBI agent in the crime thriller Bones and seeks the help of Dr Temperance Brennen to solve some pretty grizzly murders where bodies are very decomposed or mashed up! He is an honest and reliable guy who has a good chemistry with Bones. They are a good comic duo strangely for a crime show and always solve the crime. Famous for being in Angel again he is a charming good looking guy! Bones is on Sky now in season 3.
3-Jack Bauer - 24 (Kiefer Sutherland)
I love Jack he is the ultimate TV super hero and he needs a medal. He is the unluckiest man alive and had 7 unlucky stinkers of a day. In one day alone his daughter was kidnapped, wife murdered by his lover, lover was a dirty rotten spy. He doesn't follow the rules and always gets the women in his life into bother. He's been tortured, kidnapped, sacked from CTU, ostracised yet he still has some fight in him. Kiefer plays him brilliantly and it does help that he has a certain charming look to him too! 24 is on sky now on season 7.
2-Dr Gregory House -House MD (Hugh Laurie)
House is a US Hospital Drama and is on about 4 seasons now and Hugh Laurie plays the brilliant Dr House (with an American accent). He is brilliant as he is so sarcastic, arrogant, rude, selfish, mean, and nasty and all round cranky guy. He is so funny ad entertaining and does exactly what he wants. I love the way he treats his co workers especially his friend. He is foul and rude to his patients too.
1-Gene Hunt - Life on Mars/Ashes to Ashes (Philip Gleinster)
Gene Hunt is a fabulous retro character. He is so sexist, arrogant and chauvinistic but so funny. Life on Mars was a fantastic show and I was sad to see it go but was over the moon when I heard they were making a show around this character. I love Ashes to Ashes even better as I was an 80s child. Philip Gleinster plays the role superbly and there is something strangely attractive about Detective Gene Hunt. He comes also comes out the most comic one liners.
Anyway- just my little list of some of my favourite TV characters!
****Thanks for reading*****
