Advantages: great entertainment
Disadvantages: none...why would there be, its a top ten.
Okay, this is seriously hard, i just know i'm going to miss loads out but here goes:
10. TEN YEARS YOUNGER - well its pretty cruel really, they banned freak shows but are still allowed to totally humiliate people on the box...though it makes good entertainment when they totally transform people. There's tons like this though, Gok's Fashion Fix, Trinny and Susannah, How To Look Good Naked, none with ghastly plastic surgery though, i just hate to see them stuck with that little thing of blood on their head after surgery. EW.
9. SHIPWRECKED - a T4 fave, good sat morning viewing, however, they only ever have beautiful people in it so there's a definite chance of relationships, funny that isnt it?
8. BIG BRO - used to be glued to the TV 24/7 watching every spin off as well as the real show...but that birdy sound on live just got to unbearable, think they've gone one series too far but still deserve a top spot for their efforts.
7. THE WORST WEEK OF MY LIFE - kind of a take on Meet The Parents but in TV form, alot of people probably won't have seen this as it wasn't overly hyped but i think its the funniest prgramme i have ever seen. If you havn't seen it pop down to HMV and buy the complete series box set, utterly hilarious. Its basically the old son-in-law-meets-father-in-law-OMG-what-has-he-don e-now scenario, lots od humilitating situations involving killing his in-laws dog and putting his wifes gran in hospital...painfully realistic - enough said.
6. Queue weird dancing - EXTRAS, well its not that girly but its good old Ricks second award winning series and i adore it (i also think he has really cool vampire teeth) hysterically funny and sadly true.
5. EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND - very loveable, the same sort of thing as my number one. I especially love the one where Raymond 'discovers' Italy. So many awkward situations in that 12 year period of the show...i feel sorry for him. Also fighting for this spot was new drama on the block Gossip Girl and classic Sex and The City.
4. HOLLYOAKS - well, apart from them killing off pretty much all of the original characters apart from Tony i think this is great. But once again, why are there hardly any ugly people in it?
3. EASTENDERS - ok, so its probs not the most realistic of shows, but you have to agree it adds a bit of drama to our lives, its a classic after all, it wouldn't have been going so long if it wasn't good. Plus, i find it alot better acted than many other soaps. Also running for this place were Absolutely Fabulous, The Vicar of Dibley and Have I Got News For You (not so girly).
2. One for or us fashion obsessives - AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, its so great to delve into the world of fashion once in a while...and soon as its repeating on Living at the moment we can get a slice of the crazy style-icous action every day. Ohhh and theres also Britains Next Top Model...fabby too. But oh so many cat fights...
1. Ah, that old classic FRIENDS, some people detest it, some people love it, its like marmite. Doesn't it just make you feel all warm and safe...i must have seen each episode about 30 times but i feel like i know the characters so keep on watching it. Is it just me thats like that? That last episode was just so sad! Hysterical viewing.
1. (again) Well couldn' t decide on my number one so in joint place is...MIAMI INK/LA INK, not that famous but if you catch it on DMAX you'll be hooked, really cool tattoo shop, in a really cool place, with ultra cool dudes/chicks. WATCH IT.
Well, that sums it up, the great thing is that men like loads of these programmes too, even if they don't admit it. Hope you enjoyed the list and please get back to me with your views.
Summary: FABBY, go out and buy dvds of any that you havn't watched.
