Advantages: spend loads of time with children

I haven't cooked a christmas lunch in years! But we do have a christmas lunch! No we don't go out to eat in a restuart or round to family and friends. We stay firmly put at home.
Our christmas lunch comes from the frezzer made my Iceland!! I know its cheating, but it works very well for us.
We are a family of six, hubby, me and four children, three under the age of 10. They aren't that keen on eating christmas lunch, they would rather be playing with the toys and truth being we would rather be playing with them rather than being stuck in the kitchen all day cooking or washing up. One year when we only had two children that is what happened and we didn't find it any fun, espically as we also threw away a lot of food. So we decided to buy ready made christmas lunch. The children eat the little bits they want, we adults get the left overs what we want to eat off there plates, little fuss and we get to spend loads of time with the children putting toys together, playing with them and just spending that extra chill out time with them. This way we are all happy.
When they are older and really want to eat christmas lunch then I'll cook it all and we can all hang out in the kitchen together.
